Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, has technology changes with generation, the concept of saving money will play an crucial role in everyones life including younger one's. Saving money has several benifits in everyones future where there are number of ways to save money. I strongly believe that people should be save money for their future because no body can expect what happens in future.

On the one hand, people shouble be able to save money in each and every work which embeded with money because saving money has benifts in everyone's present as well as future. For example, if a man saves money in a bank has SIP method instead of using for other works, then that money saved by bank with security untill his retirement age. Furthermore, after his retirement he can withdraw those money every month for his daily expenses with SWP method. As a result, if people follows these kind of methods in saving money can generates an intrest on saved money and also they can live their life after retirement age independently.

On the other hand, Young people also make an habit of saving money from their childhood. Parents should explain the importance of money to their children from their young age. For instance, If a boy starts saving money using sources such as piggy banks instead of spend them on unwanted things, that boy can learn how to save money from his childhood and also knows the importance of money. As a result, young people should be able to save money in which they can not waste money in their adult age and also they will br disciplane in their entire life

In conclusion, People should be able to save money for their future by using different sources. And young people should start saving money irrespectvie of their age which results in advantages on importance of money in their futrure. I believe in saving money because life is with full of unexpected surprises, in that case people should be able to save money with responsiblity.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing whether young people and everyone else should save money for their future, maintaining a clear position of strong agreement throughout. Main ideas are introduced, such as the benefits of saving mechanisms like SIP and SWP, and the importance of teaching financial habits to children from a young age. However, some arguments lack full development and clarity. For instance, the reference to SIP and SWP methods is somewhat confused and difficult to follow regarding how the bank provides security until retirement. The conclusion reiterates the main stance adequately, but overall, the task is addressed in a moderately developed manner, aligning well with the descriptors for a Band 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is utilised to separate distinct ideas, such as financial methods for adults versus teaching habits to children. However, the use of cohesive devices is frequently mechanical, repetitive, or inaccurate. Expressions like 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', 'For instance', and 'As a result' are overused or misplaced, and referencing is occasionally unclear, such as 'those money' or 'these kind of methods'. Progression is noticeable, but awkward transitions and formulaic linking prevent the response from achieving a higher band. These characteristics fit the criteria for a Band 6.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student attempts to use some less common vocabulary, such as 'retirement age', 'independently', and 'unexpected surprises', alongside relevant topic vocabulary like 'saving money', 'expenses', and 'piggy banks'. However, there are numerous lexical errors and awkward word choices throughout the text, including 'benifits', 'intrest', 'make an habit', 'irrespectvie', and 'futrure'. Spelling mistakes and incorrect collocations ('embeded with money', 'spend them on unwanted things' instead of spending) are recurrent. While the vocabulary is adequate to communicate the central message of the essay, the density of inaccuracies restricts the score to a Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, including conditional and relative clauses. However, grammatical accuracy is weak throughout the response, featuring frequent errors that often cause difficulty for the reader. Examples include tense and clause structure errors ('Nowadays, has technology changes with generation'), subject-verb agreement issues ('everyones life including younger one's', 'people should be save money'), preposition misuse ('save money in each and every work'), and pluralisation errors ('these kind of methods'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with capitalization and apostrophes. Due to the high frequency of intrusive grammatical errors, this performance corresponds to a Band 5.0.
