Student answer (Band 5.0)

In previous decades people were happy and less stressed they did not have so many needs and responsbility that we have today. In the present time we all are running after some thing and at the same time we are worry about our future people struggle so hard and save money for their future surprisingly including young people and i also beleive that we should save money for our future i will furtherly explain my point.

We have learn so much from our experiences and from old people who did not saved for their future when they were young i beleive that they thought the life will remain same but life has change so far we are increasing our expans and the young generation better understand that they have to save for future so they can live happy and stress free life .

I bleive that in future life will be more difficult for example A person struggle so much but did not saved for the future and at that time he had a car which is about 200 dollar and he did not saved money for future but in future when he will get retired and then the price of his car will become less and he will not afford that time any new car it was just one example so there are many other reason to save money future if we talk about young generation students are saving money to get heigher education,in future most of the people save money for some purpose in future like mostly people save money for the wedding and there are also people who save theire life time money to build their home in fututre.

So, to conclude that i totally agree with the statement that it is important for everyone , including young people to save money for their better future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The student addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that they agree with the importance of saving money, including for young people. Ideas are presented, such as the rising costs of living and future needs like education, weddings, and housing. However, the development of these ideas tends to be limited and repetitive, and some arguments are poorly articulated, such as the example regarding a car worth 200 dollars. While the response covers all parts of the task, the support for the position lacks depth and precise examples from personal knowledge or experience, placing this performance at Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The text is divided into four paragraphs, showing a basic attempt at structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, overall progression is hindered by poor punctuation, a lack of clear sentence boundaries (run-on sentences), and weak cohesive devices. For instance, the first paragraph is essentially a single massive run-on sentence without proper full stops or conjunctions. Referencing and logical transitions between ideas are frequently faulty or missing, making it sometimes difficult to follow the line of argument. This reflects the characteristics of a Band 4.5 to 5.0, comfortably fitting Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student uses a limited and repetitive range of vocabulary suited to basic communication. Words are frequently misspelled (e.g., 'responsbility', 'beleive', 'expans', 'heigher', 'theire') and there are persistent word-form and collocation errors, such as 'furtherly explain' and 'saved for future' instead of 'saving for the future'. While the intended meaning is generally retrievable despite noticeable errors, the lack of a flexible or wide lexical range prevents the score from reaching Band 6.0, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptors well.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

Grammatical control is weak throughout the essay. The text relies heavily on simple structures, and attempts at complex sentences are faulty, often resulting in run-on sentences and comma splices, such as 'In previous decades people were happy and less stressed they did not have so many needs...'. There are frequent errors in verb tense consistency, subject-verb agreement, and the total absence of proper punctuation marks like full stops. These errors cause frequent strain and difficulty for the reader, placing the grammar performance securely at Band 4.5, rounded to 5.0 based on positive achievement.
