Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, with the inflation risnig horribly, people have adopted the concept of finance accumulation, as an alternative for emergencies. Hence, it is not only utterly cruicial for people to reserve monetary sources in order to utilise in the long run, but also for youngsters too. While life is uncertain, I completely back the statement significantly, as it aids during emergency as well as can be used for hefty necessary expenses in future.
To commence with one of the reasons to agree, money accumulated can be helpful in critical situations. Moreover, during the outbreak of pandemics, global crisis or corporate instability like loss of job, the same savings will come to the rescue. For instance, in situations like the corona virus epidemic, if a person has a surplus stock of finance, it can help them to bear expenses, when almost no medium of earning advised to public.
Adding another cause to it, today's stocked money can help carry out heavy and necessary expenses in the upcoming years. Furthermore, some of these can include shifting into a bigger residence owing to either an increase in the size of the family, or payment of large sum of fees to get a quality education. To cite an example, no sooner did the only child in a person's home opts for an MBBS degree, than the expensive tuition fees follow with it.
On the contrary, philosophers and people enjoying their life do not save money due to the uncpredictable nature of life. Additionally, their perception is money is meant for recreation therefore spending it before it is too late. To exemplify, when a person saved up millions to explore whole world retired, they failed to fulfill their wish as a result of weakness resulting from old age.
In conclusion, although life is not certain, the positive aspects of saving money such as its trait of being helpful during emergency-breakouts and its usefulness in conducting greater but important costs is why I agree to a major extent.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The student addresses all parts of the prompt, taking a clear and well-developed position that saving money is crucial for both adults and young people. The response is properly extended with relevant examples, such as referencing the pandemic and funding an MBBS degree. Ideas are well-supported throughout, meeting the criteria for a Band 7.0. While the counter-argument introduces a slightly philosophical angle about people enjoying life, it ties back effectively to the main theme in the conclusion. The progression of ideas is logical and consistent from introduction to final summary, demonstrating a clear overarching stance.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a clear logical organisation and progression throughout. Paragraphing is used appropriately, with distinct introductions to supporting arguments and a dedicated counter-argument paragraph. Cohesive devices are utilised reasonably well, such as 'To commence with', 'Furthermore', and 'On the contrary'. However, there are minor instances of clunky referencing and slightly mechanical transitions, such as 'Adding another cause to it', which prevent the essay from achieving a higher band. Overall, the flow of information is easy to follow, and the underlying cohesive structures support the progression of ideas adequately.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The student demonstrates a sufficient range of vocabulary to allow for some flexibility and precision, attempting less common items such as 'finance accumulation', 'hefty necessary expenses', and 'corporate instability'. However, there are notable spelling errors ('risnig' for rising, 'cruicial' for crucial, 'uncpredictable' for unpredictable) and occasional word-choice inaccuracies, such as 'emergency-breakouts' or 'surplus stock of finance'. Despite these flaws, communication is never impeded, and the range of vocabulary successfully covers the demands of the prompt, aligning comfortably with a Band 6.5 descriptor.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The writer attempts a variety of complex sentence structures, including conditional clauses and inversion structures such as 'no sooner did the only child... than the expensive tuition fees follow'. There are frequent error-free sentences, showing good control over grammar. Nevertheless, a number of local errors persist, including awkward phrasing ('when almost no medium of earning advised to public'), tense inconsistencies, and minor punctuation slips. These errors do not impede communication, but they prevent the writing from achieving a higher level of systematic accuracy, making Band 6.5 an appropriate evaluation.
