Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some believe that everybody must save money for their future regardless of their age. Whereas, others argue that young people aren't obligd to do so.
One argument says that saving up is unnecessary. To start with, younger people don't really prefer to save money and that is understandable. For exemple, a 23 year old who just got paid would so excited to spend his own money , to buy gifts for his loved ones and to live life because finally he would be able to manage his own salaries. No one could convince that guy that saving up is crucial, especially that he can not think of a motive for that. When it comes to older people they do not necessarily see the importance of having savings especially when they have working kids who will take care of them when they become elderly.
Whereas some people argue that everyone have to save some money. That's to say, older people won't need nobody's help to live the rest of their lives with dignity especially when retired. For instance, if one doesn't have kids one wouldn't have nobody to look after him/her. In fact some elderly do have offspring and yet they end up in poverty and homelessness because of the unexpected neglection from the part of their children. Add to that, even young adults must save up some money just in case. For exemple, they may go through periods of mental health deterioration that stops them from working, the may experience physicall sicknesses or even have an accident. Thus, saving money since young would save them. Last but not least, young adults at a certain point of their lives will come up with an idea of a business. A good amount of money will be ready to serve the purpose helping them reach their dreams. That is why i am totally convinced that everybody old or young have to save money for their future.
All in all, while saving money might seem unnecessary at first , it could and had saved several throughout time and all across the globe.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The student addresses all parts of the task by discussing both sides of the argument and clearly stating their position in the conclusion ("that is why i am totally convinced that everybody old or young have to save money"). Main ideas are extended and supported with relevant examples, such as the 23-year-old spending money and the unforeseen medical or business needs. However, there is a slight tendency to over-generalise regarding older people having working kids or ending up in poverty. The response fully satisfies the requirements for Band 6.5, leaning towards Band 7 as the position is clear throughout and ideas are well developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays a logical overall progression. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, the opposing view, the supporting arguments, and the conclusion. Cohesive devices are employed, such as "To start with", "Whereas", "For instance", and "Last but not least". However, referencing and cohesion can sometimes feel mechanical or slightly faulty, as seen in minor awkward transitions between sentences. Overall arrangement is coherent and the logical flow is generally well maintained, which fits the Band 6 descriptor well.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common phrases such as "mental health deterioration", "physicall sicknesses", and "live with dignity". There are, however, several lexical and spelling errors throughout the text, including "obligd", "Exemple", "salaries" (used as an uncountable or generic plural), and "neglection". While these errors are noticeable, they do not impede communication, placing the response solidly in the Band 6 category.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating conditional structures and relative clauses. There are, however, several grammatical errors and punctuation issues present, such as subject-verb agreement errors ("everyone have to save", "the may experience"), punctuation errors (comma splices and missing commas), and spelling mistakes. Despite these frequent errors, the meaning is generally clear and communication is rarely impeded, which aligns with the characteristics of a Band 6 performance.
