Student answer (Band 5.5)
In todays time money is essential and palys a vital role in a society. Some individuals argue that we should start saving our funds for future. I completely disagree with statement.
According to the proponents of saving capital will eventually help us in our difficult phase.I think that saving funds from the start will not help us, due to the rise in inflation. Inflation will reduce the value of our savings in future. for instance, we saved £10000, but in future it be only £1000, because when inflation increases value of cash and assets decreases.
In addition, saved money is not the permanent solution. We spent ages saving our funds and in the blink of an eye, we spend all of it. So what is enduring solutio? I think that we should adapt the changes of our life, by evolving ourselves, so what we should do instead of saving is establish a long lasting income source, such as a small online store on Amazon or shopify. What it will do is generate enough income to support us in our hardships. Furthermore, honestly resources which preserved would not enough to bare responsibility of our difficult phase, because to safe large amount of funds we need a good paying job; everyone do not have this luxury.
In conclusion, preserving resources for later use is not the last option that we have. we can use the our savings to start a local startup to support us. By saving money we will only nake our life worse, also we will not be able to enjoy our life with our family.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The candidate addresses the prompt by clearly taking a stance against saving money. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and relies on narrow reasoning regarding inflation and creating alternative income sources. While the position is stated, some supporting arguments are underdeveloped or overly simplistic, placing the response at a Band 6.0 level. The arguments presented, such as the impact of inflation on savings and the suggestion to start an online store instead, are relevant to the broader topic of financial security, but they could be extended further to fully explore the nuance of the prompt. Overall, all parts of the task are addressed, but the depth of discussion is constrained by simplistic explanations.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay has a basic structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is attempted, though some paragraphs are quite dense and contain multiple shifts in focus. Cohesive devices are used, but sometimes mechanically or awkwardly, such as 'In addition,' and 'Furthermore, honestly resources which preserved would not enough'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and logical progression between sentences sometimes falters, leading to a choppy flow. For instance, the transition from discussing inflation to asking 'So what is enduring solutio?' feels abrupt. Overall, the arrangement provides a coherent overall sense, but cohesion is faulty in places, matching the Band 5.0 descriptors.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'inflation,' 'enduring,' 'hardships,' and 'startup.' However, there are numerous spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including 'palys' instead of plays, 'solutio' instead of solution, 'bare' instead of bear, 'safe' instead of save, and 'nake' instead of make. These errors occasionally distract the reader, though they do not severely impede overall comprehension. The lexical range is adequate for communicating basic points, but the high frequency of inaccurate word forms and spelling mistakes limits the score to Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response features a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as conditional and infinitive clauses ('so what we should do instead of saving is establish a long lasting income source'). However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors in articles, prepositions, subject-verb agreement, and punctuation. Examples include 'money is essential and palys a vital role in a society', 'saving capital will eventually help us', 'we used the our savings', and missing apostrophes or capitalization issues. Although the writer attempts complex forms, the frequency of errors is high and occasionally causes difficulty for the reader, placing this criterion solidly at Band 5.0.
