Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count of 250 words, coming in at only 214 words, which negatively impacts the task achievement score. Furthermore, the content wanders significantly off-topic into moral judgments about young people drinking alcohol (e.g., 'drink sharab, sigrat, ice etc.') and respecting elders, rather than focusing purely on the economic arguments for saving money. While the writer attempts to take a position ('i am agree with this statement'), the ideas are heavily underdeveloped, repetitive, and lack clear logical support. Examples given are confusing and incomplete, such as 'For example one young people who are the difficult time in the life.' Overall, the response addresses the prompt only partially and superficially.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The essay is divided into short paragraphs, but the organization and progression of ideas are severely hampered by poor cohesion and fragmented sentence structures. Cohesive devices are either missing or misused, relying on repetitive transitions like 'First reason is that', 'Second reason is that', and 'So'. Paragraphing is attempted, but the paragraphs contain disjointed sentences that make it difficult to follow a clear line of argument. Referencing pronouns (such as 'he' used indiscriminately for young people) are frequently unclear, leading to confusion regarding who or what is being discussed throughout the response.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

Lexical resource is very basic and repetitive. The student uses a limited vocabulary pool, repeatedly recycling words like 'young people', 'money', 'future', 'work', and 'difficult time'. There are inappropriate inclusions of non-standard or first-language vocabulary ('sharab', 'sigrat') which are not suitable for an Academic IELTS response. Word choice and collocations are frequently unnatural, and there are noticeable errors in word forms and parts of speech (e.g., 'i am agree', 'the behaviour does not better in the female'). The vocabulary is barely adequate to communicate simple ideas and strains the reader.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

Grammatical range is extremely limited, consisting mostly of simple, repetitive sentence patterns that are frequently faulty. There is a complete lack of control over complex structures. Errors in basic grammar are pervasive throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('many young people every needs', 'Young people does not rest', 'child needs'), incorrect verb tenses, missing articles, and severe punctuation errors. These frequent grammatical errors cause considerable difficulty for the reader and occasionally distort the intended meaning entirely.
