Student answer (Band 6.0)

Saving money for future is important for everyone including young people. This is the safest strategy and very essential as far as future security is concerned. I totally agree this statement and this essay discusses the reasons and suitable examples to support my view.

Saving money is a good habit and at least better than the unnecessary use of money with zero saving. Keeping in view the income and expanses, everyone should save some amount. We are living in the age of race and uncertainty in which we don't know when an emergency or sudden expanse came. We all have families and medical urgencies are very common in families. Person with enough saving will tackle this kind of situation better as compared to a person who saved nothing. So, medical funds should be considered in saving and is one of the strongest reason why saving is important for future.

For young people, this habit has a signficant importance at early age. They learn to save rather than wasting on unnessary things. This make them a responsible member of house as well as citizen. Another reason why parents should save money is the future security of their childrens. With the passage of time, they have to pay for the number of necessities including college or university fees, expanses for boarding education and help them to start a business. By keeping in view the reasons, no one can underestimate the importance of savings.

In conclusion, saving is essential for everyone. Without proper saving, one cannot manage the situations like emergencies. I am still standing with my agreement with the given statement that saving money is important for eneryone.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The student addresses all parts of the task by taking a clear and consistent position on whether everyone, including young people, should save money. The response outlines relevant reasons, such as financial security during medical emergencies and teaching youth responsibility. However, some ideas are slightly under-developed and rely on generalisations, such as the brief mentions of starting a business or college fees without deeper elaboration. While the main stance is maintained from the introduction to the conclusion, the depth of argumentation aligns best with the Band 6 descriptor, where all parts are addressed with relevant ideas, though some lack full extension.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is utilised to separate distinct ideas, such as general reasons for saving versus benefits specifically for young people. However, cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or repetitive, as seen with phrases like 'Another reason why' and 'By keeping in view the reasons'. Referencing is generally clear, but transitional links between sentences occasionally feel abrupt, matching the characteristics of Band 6 where cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully using terms like 'financial security', 'uncertainty', and 'necessities'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, such as 'expanses' instead of 'expenses', 'signficant' instead of 'significant', and 'eneryone' instead of 'everyone'. Furthermore, collocation is occasionally weak, such as 'wasting on unnecessary things' instead of 'wasting money on unnecessary things'. These inaccuracies do not impede communication, placing the response firmly at Band 6.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

The writer employs a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over structure through sentences like 'Person with enough saving will tackle this kind of situation better as compared to a person who saved nothing.' However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly missing articles ('Person with enough saving', 'one of the strongest reason'), subject-verb agreement issues ('expanse came'), and minor prepositional mistakes. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the message, they restrict the score to Band 5.0 or 6.0, ultimately settling at 6.0 as communication is rarely impeded.
