During medical emergency saving not only gives financial safety but also helps to pass that situation without any fear to arranging the money. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position that everyone, including young people, should save money for their future. The main body paragraphs provide relevant reasons and examples to support this viewpoint, discussing unexpected emergencies like medical situations or natural disasters, as well as long-term goals such as purchasing a house or pursuing overseas education. While the ideas are relevant, some parts of the development are slightly repetitive, such as the repeated listing of examples like 'business and many more' and 'and many more'. The position is maintained throughout the essay, fulfilling the core requirements of Task 2. This performance aligns best with Band 6.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion. The student uses basic cohesive devices to signal progression, such as 'On the one hand', 'Secondly', and 'In Conclusion'. However, paragraphing is somewhat problematic; the first body paragraph is overly long and crams multiple distinct ideas together, and the conclusion contains repetitive phrasing and grammatical breakdown. Furthermore, referencing is occasionally unclear, such as 'which came at any point of life unexpected' and 'without dependent heavy on loans'. These cohesion and referencing flaws place the response at Band 5.5.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'financial crisis', 'market fluctuation', 'financial independence', and 'natural disaster'. However, there are noticeable lexical and collocational errors throughout the text, including 'cold wars' instead of conflicts, 'play an very vital role', 'one's need to ready', and 'without dependent heavy on loans'. Word choice is sometimes imprecise, and spelling slips appear, such as 'acheive' instead of 'achieve'. These inaccuracies show an attempt at a broader vocabulary range while keeping communication generally clear, corresponding to a Band 6.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, using conditional and relative clauses such as 'when a person is doing business... they must need to prepare' and 'savings that can be used during the natural disaster'. However, grammatical control is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement ('unexpected situation... are going on', 'medical which came'), missing articles ('lose the job', 'during covid situation'), and awkward word forms ('people do savings'). Although these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to restrict the score to Band 5.0.
