Student answer (Band 5.0)
Setting aside the money for the future is important for everyone regarding the age.
i completely agree with the statement of saving money for upcoming future , its a great habit which is going to be very usefull in the future indeed reliant
to begin with developing the habit of saving money across all age , specially for the youngsters if they start learning to save money at a early age they are going to responsible and have the security for the upcoming future and threy become less reliant to debt , funds or loans. Also saving allows people to help during emergencies like medical emergencies or when a person suffers from financial problems. so in my opinion i think having a financial saving at young age will help you in the adulthood
A clear benefit can be seen in my own personal experience in this when i was 16 i started saving up my pocket money which i used to get and at the age of 19 when i was going to abroad for my higher studies i paid half of my school fees and the other was paid by my parents but although i paid still i had alot more remaining money which was pretty much alot and i covered up
for my accomadation and groceries and i was really greatfull for saving up my pocket money because indeed it helped me alot.
However, i would definietly advice the youngsters to save up atleast a little money for their upcoming future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the task directly and takes a clear position in favour of the statement that everyone should save money for their future. Ideas are presented, such as avoiding debt and handling medical emergencies, and the student supports these points with a personal example about saving pocket money to fund higher education abroad. However, the development is somewhat limited and repetitive, and the ideas lack full extension and academic polish. The writing touches upon all parts of the prompt, but the arguments remain basic and would benefit from broader societal perspectives to reach a higher band. Overall, the response meets the baseline requirements for Task Achievement at a Band 6.0 level.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays a generally coherent overall arrangement, and the writer attempts to use cohesive devices such as 'to begin with' and 'Also'. However, paragraphing is extremely weak, with almost the entire body of the essay lumped into a single run-on paragraph, which severely impairs the logical progression. Furthermore, referencing is sometimes unclear, and punctuation is largely neglected (e.g., lowercase 'i', missing apostrophes, and run-on sentences like 'i paid half of my school fees and the other was paid by my parents but although i paid still i had alot more remaining money'). Because the structural organisation lacks clear paragraph breaks and cohesive control is mechanical and faulty, the response falls into the Band 5.0 descriptor category.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully incorporating terms such as 'emergencies', 'pocket money', and 'accommodation'. However, there are numerous lexical and spelling errors that detract from the writing, including 'usefull', 'definietly', 'advice' (used as a verb), 'accomadation', and 'greatfull'. Additionally, phrasing is frequently repetitive and imprecise, such as 'upcoming future' and 'pretty much alot'. While the vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey the basic meaning, the frequency of spelling slips and limited control over less common lexical items places this response firmly at Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
Grammatically, the response demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control is weak. Sentences are frequently over-long and unpunctuated, leading to major run-on errors, such as the sentence describing the student's experience abroad. There are basic grammatical inaccuracies, including capitalization errors (e.g., lowercase 'i'), incorrect word forms ('advice' instead of 'advise'), and awkward phrasing like 'regarding the age'. Complex structures are often faulty and lack proper subordination. Because errors are frequent and cause some difficulty for the reader in terms of parsing sentence boundaries, the grammatical performance corresponds to a Band 5.0 score.
