TASK 2

In this new era individual has key role taking participate in finance how to save money in future. Trend is going among teenagers to spend money as investment for their needs. I partially agree with this statement and further provide details to my argument.

One of major advantage of saving money is to play safe for future circumstances. Individuals who spendthrift face much difficulties in future. Furthermore, people who spend money according to their need get benefits. People educated in field of finance prefer investing for their future needs. They know about profits and losses during investing and earn income over their spending. Some people spend money on parties and birthdays without thinking on their budget which shows their ego over spending in society.

On the other hand, people who spend money in these fields face loss. Some people spend money to show their wealth. They don't bother about future investments. People who belong to background families face challenges in case of saving. Individuals who spendthrifts influence others to spend money rather then saving. Rich people spend more money on their lifestyles which makes their name and fame.

In my opinion, individuals take steps regarding spending, in case of emergency they face difficulties. Elders and parents have to teach them about habit of saving which can really help them in throughout their life.

In conclusion, although people have their own opinion regarding this distinct arguments. I, however, thin that there should be balanced decision savings over spending money for future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing whether young people and everyone should save money for the future, presenting a partial agreement position. However, the development of ideas is limited and at times unclear due to expression issues. For instance, the argument shifts awkwardly between the benefits of saving and the negative impacts of reckless spending without fully expanding upon either side in a cohesive manner. The position is stated in the introduction and reiterated in the conclusion, but the body paragraphs contain repetitive points about people showing off wealth and facing financial difficulties, which restricts the depth of task fulfilment. Overall, the content aligns most closely with a Band 5 descriptor because the ideas remain somewhat under-developed and general.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay is divided into five paragraphs, showing an attempt at a standard essay structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by abrupt transitions and confusing sentences, such as 'Some people spend money on parties and birthdays without thinking on their budget which shows their ego over spending in society.' Cohesive devices are used mechanically or inaccurately, for example, 'Furthermore' and 'On the other hand' do not always introduce genuinely contrasting or supporting points logically. Paragraphing is attempted, but individual paragraphs lack internal unity and a clear central topic. Referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the exact flow of argumentation, which places this aspect at a Band 5 level.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently relying on simple terms such as 'spend money,' 'future,' and 'people.' There are noticeable lexical errors and awkward collocations that restrict precision, such as 'spendthrift face much difficulties' and 'background families.' While the writer attempts some less common terms like 'circumstances' and 'investment,' inappropriate word choices and grammatical forms of words (e.g., using 'spendthrift' as a verb or adjective incorrectly) cause some difficulty for the reader. Spelling is generally acceptable, but the overall range and control of vocabulary remain limited, matching the criteria for a Band 5 score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures. Simple sentences dominate, and attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty or incomplete, such as 'In this new era individual has key role taking participate in finance how to save money in future.' Errors in articles, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions are frequent throughout the text, including 'in throughout their life' and 'balanced decision savings over spending.' These persistent grammatical errors often strain the reader and cause ambiguity in meaning. Because error-free sentences are rare and structural control is weak, the response comfortably earns a Band 5 for grammar.
