It is often argued by some people that saving money for future is very important for everyone. Although some people might disagreed with the statement, but I completely agreed with the statement. Not only because of help in emergency and a to complete big dreams, but also help in old age.
There are a lot of advantages associated with saving money for future. Firstly, people should save money to tackle any emergency situation in future. As unfortunately you suffered by any accidebt and need to operate. For example, Jone Andrew, the president of Nepal says, the deathrate in Nepal have been increased about 20%, because poor people does not save sufficent money to handle any emergency situation. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt directly, taking a clear stance that saving money is important for everyone, including young people. The writer presents relevant main ideas, such as handling emergencies, achieving dreams like buying a house, and securing an independent old age. However, the development of these ideas is limited and relies on unsupported or unusual claims, such as citing the president of Nepal to explain death rates related to savings. While all parts of the task are addressed, the arguments remain somewhat superficial and lack well-formulated, realistic examples. Consequently, the ideas are partially developed rather than fully extended, placing this response firmly at Band 5.5.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays a basic overall progression with clear paragraphing, utilising introduction, body, and conclusion paragraphs. The writer uses standard cohesive markers such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'To sum up' to structure the response. However, referencing is sometimes faulty and mechanical, such as 'proves this development a positive development' repeated throughout the body paragraphs. Additionally, logical links between sentences can be weak, and the cohesive devices used are sometimes repetitive or inaccurate. Overall, the essay has a coherent basic arrangement, but the faulty referencing and mechanical transitions prevent it from reaching a higher band, aligning well with Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to communicate basic concepts about saving money, emergencies, and buying a house. However, there is a limited range of vocabulary with noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'suffer by any accidebt', 'carry a lot of weightage', and 'depend at anyone'. Spelling errors are also present, such as 'accidebt', 'sufficent', 'Americants', and 'spent'. While the meaning is generally clear despite these errors, the lexical range is restricted and features frequent inaccuracies, which is characteristic of Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty. For instance, the opening sentence contains a structural error ('saving money for future is...'), and sentences often suffer from missing subjects or awkward conjunction usage, as seen in 'Although some people might disagreed with the statement, but I completely agreed.' Grammatical errors are frequent, including tense inconsistencies and preposition misuse, such as 'depend at anyone'. While the reader can understand the intended meaning, the high frequency of grammatical inaccuracies means that error-free sentences are the exception rather than the majority, placing this performance at Band 5.0.
