The habit of creating financial backups for future purpose is really essential for every individuals, including younger generations. I partically agree with the statement as having savings can later help during the time of emergencies, however it also means that one has to give up their likings in order to do so. This essay will further evaluate my idea, along with the reasons behind my assumptions.
According to my perspective, I think that it is really important for a person, particularly the younger teens to save money for their future, as having a financial backup can really help during hard times. not only that, the habit of savings among young people can also help them organise their expenditure properly. My personal experience on habit of savings has helped me many times. For instance, I was able to pay my tution fees completely for my third semester on time all thanks to my savings.
However, I also think that saving money can actually turn out to be thief of joy. Many people back away from savings mainly due to this reason. For someone to save money they will have to give up on other things like a movie night or pheraphs a dinner.According to the survey done by the Youths Organisation Of California, almost 40% of the people don't save money because they value their present day experience over the future needs.
To sum up all ,I think that habit of saving can really benifit a person in their future and for some it can also be the reason to give up on their needs. However

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a partial agreement regarding the importance of saving money for the future. However, the ideas are somewhat limited and under-developed, which keeps the score at this level. While the writer introduces relevant points such as emergency funds and the sacrifice of current pleasures like 'a movie night', the explanation remains brief and relies on general assertions rather than fully extended reasoning. The position is stated in the introduction, but the conclusion is cut off abruptly with the words 'However ', failing to properly close the argument. To move to a higher band, the writer needs to fully develop each supporting idea with deeper analysis, clearer explanations, and a complete, well-supported conclusion that ties the whole essay together.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays some basic organization with a clear paragraph structure separating the introduction, body paragraphs, and a truncated conclusion. However, there is no clear overall progression across the text, and the transitions between paragraphs feel mechanical. Cohesive devices are used, but sometimes inaccurately or repetitively, such as the repetitive use of introductory phrases like 'According to my perspective' and 'However, I also think that'. Referencing is also occasionally unclear. To achieve a higher score, the writer must ensure a smoother logical flow between sentences and paragraphs, utilizing a wider and more natural range of cohesive devices without over-relying on formulas, while also ensuring every paragraph is fully completed.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey the basic message. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'financial backups', 'expenditure', and 'thief of joy', but there are noticeable word-choice and spelling errors that cause some difficulty for the reader, such as 'partically' instead of 'partially', 'likings' instead of 'preferences' or 'pleasures', 'tution' instead of 'tuition', 'pheraphs' instead of 'perhaps', and 'benifit' instead of 'benefit'. To improve to the next band, the writer needs to broaden their lexical range, use less common lexical items with greater precision regarding collocation and style, and significantly improve accuracy in spelling and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay demonstrates a limited range of sentence structures. While there are some attempts at complex sentences, they are often faulty or awkward, such as 'For someone to save money they will have to give up on other things like a movie night or pheraphs a dinner.' There are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('every individuals, including younger generations' instead of 'every individual') and missing commas or punctuation marks, such as the missing final period and the unfinished sentence at the very end of the essay. To reach a higher level, the writer must incorporate a wider variety of complex structures with greater control, minimizing errors so that sentences remain consistently clear and grammatically sound.
