Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often asked to individuals as well as adults to save their wealth for upcoming time. I largely agree with the statement because future is unpredictable and no one knows what happens with them so securing money for future may be help them to survive in that situation. I will discuss on this statement in upcoming paragraph.
Firstly, As i said future is uncertain that means we no able to predict for time ahed. Because the rate of change of technology increase unemployment and throwing new problem of change occur in society. New technology like advance mechanism and artificial intelligence kill the jobmarket so that unemployment create poverty in the nation. They will suffer from money, food, health issues because they loss their job. For example, if some dieases like covid-19 can create big problem for taking treatment and survive at that time they may loss life. If they had saved money they can get medical treatment and vaccination for recovery. So, saving money is as well important as keeping alive ourselves.
Secondly, Nowadays, adults use their money for hobbies and entertainment which gives happiness for limited time but if they save good amount of money for their further time they can spent past life peacefully. The every humans on the earth will get old at some time and at that time they may be not able to go for work and get money. For this every adults should start saving money and invest in proper way to get good return.
In conclusion, I strongly agree with this statement that says everyone inculding young people should start saving money to secure their future time.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position on whether young people should save money, supported by relevant ideas. For instance, the writer discusses how future uncertainty, technological shifts like artificial intelligence, and unexpected crises like the COVID-19 pandemic necessitate financial preparedness. However, some ideas are under-developed or lack full elaboration. The explanation of how technological advancements increase unemployment and cause poverty, while relevant, remains somewhat generalized and brief. Similarly, the second body paragraph touches on retirement and old age but moves quickly between points without fully exploring the long-term benefits of early financial planning. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to extend these arguments with more specific explanations and concrete examples rather than relying on broad statements.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with a clear central topic maintained throughout. The essay is divided into an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing an adequate attempt at paragraphing. Cohesive devices are employed to signal transitions, such as 'Firstly' and 'Secondly', though referencing and transitions can occasionally feel mechanical or slightly awkward, as seen in phrases like 'I will discuss on this statement in upcoming paragraph.' Furthermore, referencing is sometimes imprecise, leading to occasional confusion regarding pronoun antecedents (e.g., 'no one knows what happens with them'). To achieve higher standards, the writer should employ a wider and more natural variety of cohesive links, ensure smoother transitions between sentences, and refine the logical flow within paragraphs so that ideas progress more seamlessly without abrupt shifts.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, providing a minimally sufficient range to discuss financial savings and future planning. The student attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'unpredictable', 'artificial intelligence', and 'pension' concepts implied through old age, but these attempts are often accompanied by noticeable inaccuracies in word choice and collocation. Examples include phrases like 'upcoming time' instead of 'the future', 'kill the jobmarket', and 'spent past life peacefully' instead of spending retirement comfortably. Additionally, there are minor spelling and word-formation slips, such as 'ahed' instead of 'ahead' and 'dieases' instead of 'diseases'. These errors do not heavily impede communication, but they restrict the score. To improve, the writer should focus on expanding their range of natural collocations and precise vocabulary related to personal finance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response exhibits a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting complex structures through conditional and dependent clauses, such as 'if some dieases like covid-19 can create big problem... they may loss life.' However, these attempts at complex sentences are frequently marred by errors in verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, and articles. Examples include 'future is uncertain that means we no able to predict for time ahed' and 'The every humans on the earth'. Grammar and punctuation errors are noticeable and occur regularly, though they rarely impede overall communication. To move to a higher band, the writer needs to demonstrate better control over complex grammatical structures, ensure accurate verb forms in conditional clauses, and eliminate frequent basic errors related to articles, prepositions, and plurals.
