Student answer (Band 5.0)

Saving more money and assets for the next generation is essential for all individuals in the world.

From wealthy people to underprivileged people, think about saving their personal assets for their next generation. If money is saved, then it serves for better education, lifestyle and achievements. In this rapidly growing world, the economy is declining, and the needs of every person are surging as demand increases for a high-standard lifestyle.

Young and elderly people are both putting in efforts to save money. If they save money today, then their old age will pass without effort for their survival, and they will not depend on other individuals. Although elderly people save money for an independent life, young people save money to enhance their lifestyle. In the modern world, Jobs are scarce, and requirements are rapidly growing.

In my opinion, I agree with this statement to a certain extent, saving money is important, perhaps using it for requirements and daily needs is better first than saving it, if the daily requirements are met. For underprivileged, middle and young persons, it is challenging to save money for the future and is considered cursed. Because their income are economically lower.

The major reason for disagreeing with the statement is the low wages of poor-class people, they are unable to buy food and clothes for themselves in this rapidly raising economy. However, after multiple efforts, they are able to save some portion of their salaries for their bright future. Yong people spend a lot of money on unecessary products that are useless for them. if they stopped using this useless expenses then they save money so then can use this money for their requirement and this money will them when the required it most.

When i was younger, i used to bought the uncessary thing and spend my monthly stipend on less useful thing but when i required the money, i does not have a single penny. thus, i came to knwon that saving money is important for the future. In conclusion, for own safety money saving is ne

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the task only partially, presenting a position that lacks clarity and consistency. While the writer attempts to discuss whether everyone should save money, the arguments remain limited and under-developed. For instance, the discussion moves back and forth between general saving habits and the financial struggles of poor-class people without maintaining a clear overall stance. Ideas such as 'using it for requirements and daily needs is better first than saving it' are introduced but not fully extended or supported with well-developed examples. Furthermore, the reasoning often relies on over-generalised statements, such as claiming that saving money is considered 'cursed' for the underprivileged, which hinders the depth required for a higher score.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The text demonstrates some organization, but there is no clear overall progression of ideas throughout the essay. Paragraphing is attempted, but the grouping of ideas within paragraphs feels disjointed; for example, the fourth and fifth paragraphs mix the discussion of low-income earners with the spending habits of young people rather than keeping them distinct. Cohesive devices are frequently inadequate, inaccurate, or over-used, relying heavily on basic linkers like 'Although', 'However', and 'In conclusion'. Additionally, referencing and pronoun use are at times unclear, such as 'this money will them when the required it most', which disrupts the logical flow between sentences and makes the overall progression mechanical.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and barely adequate for the task, featuring noticeable errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'underprivileged', 'lifestyle', and 'stipend', but struggles with accurate word choice, word form, and collocations, as seen in phrases like 'economically lower' instead of 'lower incomes' and 'raising economy' instead of 'rising economy'. Furthermore, there are multiple spelling and morphological errors, including 'unecessary', 'Yong', 'knwon', and 'ne', which restrict the lexical range and detract from the overall quality of the writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The essay displays a very limited range of sentence structures, relying mostly on simple sentences or faulty attempts at complex ones. Frequent errors in grammar and punctuation are present throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('their income are economically lower'), incorrect verb tenses ('When i was younger, i used to bought', 'i does not have'), and missing articles. Punctuation errors, such as comma splices ('young people spend a lot of money on unecessary products..., if they stopped...'), and incorrect prepositions are common. These persistent grammatical inaccuracies cause frequent difficulty for the reader and prevent the text from achieving a smoother, more controlled flow.
