Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is commonly argued that it is necesaary for everyone even for a young generation to save money for their own future. I totally agree with this statement, because no one aware from their future, and savings can help in difficult situations. Moreover, keeping some dollars can save from borrowing from friends and family, which sometimes refuse to help and it also hurt self respect.

To be specific, saving money is essential for everyone because no one know about their future. In near future, when somebody face any hardship, and it is difficult to comeout from that situation, such as having troulbe in paying rents, or paying fee for education. The same money which saved for future will help to comeout from bad times.

Furthermore, keeping some dollors at side can prevent borrowing from relatives and friend when we need it. Because in this brutal world everyone is not kind enough to help even close relations. Especially, it can also be good for a person not to be embarrased in front of any one. For example, if a person takes money from their close friend and not return it in a given timeline, it can ruin their relationship. Additionally, feeling embarras for a little money can attack on self respect.

In conclusion, saving money for future can help people to comeout from difficult situations easily, without taking anyones helps. Other issues going in debt by borrowing money from other person can embarras for just little money and could be the reason to finish relations.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position agreeing that everyone, including young people, should save money. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others. The introduction clearly states your stance, and the second paragraph provides a relevant explanation regarding unexpected financial hardships like rent or education fees. On the other hand, the third and fourth paragraphs tend to repeat similar points about avoiding borrowing from friends and relatives to prevent embarrassment or damaged relationships. To reach a higher level, you should extend each supporting idea with deeper analysis or distinct examples rather than reiterating the same core argument about social relationships in multiple ways.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear stance maintained throughout. Paragraphing is used sufficiently to separate your introduction, main body points, and conclusion. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical and referencing is not always clear. For instance, transitional phrases like 'To be specific' and 'Furthermore' are used, but sentences within paragraphs sometimes lack smooth logical links. Expressions such as 'The same money which saved for future' create slightly awkward transitions between ideas. To progress further, ensure that referencing words like 'it' and 'this' clearly point to preceding nouns, and integrate cohesive devices more naturally to guide the reader seamlessly through your argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, providing a minimally sufficient range to express your opinions on saving money. You attempt less common vocabulary, such as 'hardship', 'brutal world', and 'self-respect'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors that occasionally draw attention, such as 'necesaary', 'necesary', 'dollors', 'embarrased', and 'embarras'. Additionally, collocations are sometimes unnatural, as seen in phrases like 'attack on self respect' instead of 'damage self-respect'. To achieve a higher band, focus on expanding your control of less common lexical items, improving spelling accuracy, and using precise word forms that fit natural collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writing demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting complex structures to explain reasons and consequences. There are, however, frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that can cause some difficulty for the reader. Issues include subject-verb agreement and article usage, such as 'no one aware from their future', 'no one know about their future', and 'without taking anyones helps'. Prepositions and clause structures also show strain, for example in 'keeping some dollors at side can prevent borrowing'. To improve your grammar score, you need to work on reducing frequent errors in basic agreements, plurals, and verb forms while striving for better control over complex sentence patterns.
