Student answer (Band 5.5)
Money is an integral part of life. That's why everyone earns it. You need to have money even for every basic necessity of life. Just like pretty previledge, money previledge is real too. Rich people are living life while poor are just living.Regarding money many people believe that one should save money for their for future while other believe the quite opposite.
Some people believe you need to save money from the start. Firstly, save money for your higher education. Then save money to buy a house in the future. After that just register for your insurances. So that when you start a family you can live a easy life compared to people that haven't saved and are grinding their days and night for different expenses like rent etc.
While other people may disagree . They think even if I saved money for a future expense, I will still end up saving for another expense later on. So its a cycle that goes on and on. they believe this cycle gives them only anxiety and prevents them from enjoying the life.
Personally, I think that saving money and spending it wisely is although important but it should not be the only goal of your life. Instead one should save some money and start investing to increase the income. Moreover, money should be spend on yourself as well as it is the most reasonable investment ever. While accomplishing your goals, you shoule never forget to enjoy . As time and tide waits for none. Your youth is like a spilled water , once it's gone , it's never coing back.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position regarding whether young people and everyone else should save money. Relevant ideas are introduced, such as saving for education, housing, and insurance, alongside counter-arguments about anxiety and living in the moment. However, some ideas are under-developed rather than fully explored. For instance, the discussion on investing and spending money on oneself is introduced toward the end but lacks detailed support or concrete examples. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to extend and support all main points more thoroughly throughout the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a recognisable introduction, body paragraphs addressing opposing views, and a personal conclusion. Paragraphing is used sufficiently to divide the different perspectives. However, cohesion is at times mechanical or abrupt, relying heavily on basic transitional words like 'Firstly', 'Then', and 'Moreover'. Referencing within and across sentences could be smoother to establish clearer logical progression. To improve, the writer should integrate cohesive devices more naturally and ensure that the links between ideas flow without feeling disjointed.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used provides an adequate range for the task, allowing the writer to communicate their thoughts on saving versus spending. There are attempts to use less common expressions, but these are accompanied by noticeable errors in spelling, such as 'previledge' instead of 'privilege', and word choices like 'live a easy life'. While these inaccuracies do not completely impede communication, they highlight limitations in precision and control over spelling and word forms. To progress, the student must expand their repertoire of sophisticated lexical items and pay closer attention to accurate spelling and word formation.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating that the writer can structure sentences with varying lengths. There are, however, some errors in grammar and punctuation, such as missing articles ('live a easy life'), incorrect prepositions, and awkward phrasing like 'money should be spend' instead of 'spent', along with issues in capitalization and punctuation around quotations or clauses. Although these errors rarely impede overall communication, they prevent the text from achieving a higher level of grammatical control. To improve, the writer should focus on verifying verb forms, articles, and sentence punctuation.
