Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is crucial for every individuals including young generation to save money for their future.

I mostly agree with the statement. because it is really important for all generations to save their earnings or pocket money.

There are several positive aspects of saving money. Firstly, whenever an emergency situation occurs in one's life it is really important to have savings. Because nowadays the healthcare services are too expensive. as a result many middle class citizens lost their life or fall into a severe trouble. if they are not able take appropriate action at the crucial time due to low funds. for instance, my best friend's father had a heart problem and to cure it they had sufficient fund. because they did savings in order to cope with such situations. thankfully, they were able to spent the big amount on their own instead of borrowing the money from someone. due to this they did surgery on time and now his father is completely fit. after this insident i have started doing savings. however, i don't have any job currently. as a result i am not able to save a good amount till now but i would like to save more whenever i will get a job in future.

There are some drawbacks of saving money as it is not possible for everyone to save money as many citizens have less salaries. which is not sufficient to start saving. on the other hand many people might take too much stress about savings as in this modern era, the increasing numbers of cyber fraud and bank threats. many take stress over their savings if their savings are secure or not.

in conclusion, there are some threft of loosing the saved money. in contrast if a person stays active and understand the potential risks. they can stay safe from such criminal activities and utilize their savings for future consequences.

Overall5.5

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all parts of the task and present a clear position of agreement, supported by relevant ideas from your own experience. For instance, you provide an extended personal example about your best friend's father receiving timely heart surgery because of accumulated savings. However, some parts of your response are more fully developed than others. While your discussion on the medical emergency is extended, your counter-argument regarding low salaries and financial stress remains somewhat limited and under-developed. To move to a higher band, you should ensure that all main ideas and opposing viewpoints receive an equal level of thorough explanation and extension throughout the essay.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

Your essay demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with a clear stance, and you make some attempts to use cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'however', and 'in conclusion'. However, the progression of ideas is sometimes interrupted by mechanical or faulty cohesion, and referencing is not always clear. For example, your sentences are often fragmented by improper full stops, such as starting sentences with lowercase letters or isolating dependent clauses like 'because it is really important' and 'as a result many middle class citizens'. To improve, you should focus on creating smoother logical transitions between sentences and managing paragraphing more accurately so that the overall flow of your arguments is much easier for the reader to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common words and phrases such as 'emergency situation', 'healthcare services', and 'criminal activities'. However, there are noticeable inaccuracies in word choice, collocation, and spelling throughout your response. For example, you use phrases like 'did savings' instead of 'made savings' or 'saved money', and you misspell words such as 'insident' and 'threft' (theft). Additionally, you use 'loosing' instead of 'losing'. To achieve a higher band, you need to expand your control of less common lexical items, ensure correct word forms and collocations, and minimize spelling mistakes so that your communication remains precise and natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting complex structures with subordinate clauses such as 'whenever an emergency situation occurs in one's life' and 'if they are not able take appropriate action'. However, your writing contains frequent errors in grammar and punctuation, particularly with sentence boundaries, capitalization, and verb forms. You frequently write sentence fragments or splice independent clauses incorrectly with periods where commas or conjunctions are needed, such as 'because of low funds. for instance' and 'salaries. which is not sufficient'. Furthermore, you have grammatical slips like 'many citizen' or missing auxiliary verbs. To progress, you must improve your control over complex sentence structures and punctuation rules to ensure your writing contains more error-free sentences.
