Student answer (Band 4.5)
In many senarios it is necessary for young people to do savings for the betterment of their future. In young age it is very difficult to do savings because young peoples have many other activities to do for which they need money for example:
membership of gym and eating junk food needs money. But it is also a important thing to do savings by doing saving they can buy many things in future for example: laptop for studies and games.
Young people are enthusiasts and they have many interests some of them like cars and to do driving or maintainance of car they need to spend money. Some have interest in physical fitness for this they need to buy membership of gym, swiming pools and sports club which require money as well.
For example:Younger people like outside food more to buy this food from any resturant they need a good money for it.
Saving is on the other hand is also an important thing if they develope the habit of saving money in young age it is a really pleasent thing for them in their future. If they save money they donot have to relay on their parents if they want to buy something.
I donot agree with the statment that young people need to save money. In my opinion there is a need to teach them how to spend money in the way that it is not wasted.By doing saving in there young age they will not be able to know on which thing they have to spend and on which not.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The response addresses the task only partially, presenting a somewhat unclear position regarding whether young people should save money. While the writer initially suggests that saving is necessary for the future, the conclusion abruptly states an outright disagreement with the prompt. The ideas presented are limited and under-developed, relying heavily on repetitive examples involving gym memberships, cars, and junk food without deeply exploring the broader implications of financial planning. To move to a higher level, the writer needs to establish a clear, consistent stance throughout the essay and extend their arguments with well-developed explanations and relevant examples rather than listing superficial points.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The text shows some basic organisation, but there is no clear overall progression of ideas from one paragraph to the next. The response lacks effective overall paragraphing and relies on inadequate, inaccurate, or repetitive cohesive devices. For instance, transitional phrases are either missing or awkward, such as starting sentences abruptly with 'For example:' or 'Saving is on the other hand is also an important thing'. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, making the flow disjointed. To achieve a higher band score, the writer must ensure logical sequencing between paragraphs, use a wider variety of cohesive devices accurately, and structure the essay with clear, distinct introduction, body, and conclusion paragraphs.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, but noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word form cause some difficulty for the reader. For example, expressions like 'senarios', 'do savings', and 'young peoples' demonstrate a lack of precision and control over standard collocations and plurals. Additionally, words are occasionally repeated unnecessarily. To improve lexical resource, the student should expand their range of vocabulary, focus on accurate word forms and plurals, and learn standard collocations such as 'save money' instead of 'do savings'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response displays a very limited range of structures, consisting mainly of simple sentences and attempts at complex sentences that are frequently faulty. There are frequent grammatical errors in verb forms, articles, punctuation, and prepositions within grammatical patterns, such as 'In young age', 'donot have to relay', and run-on sentences lacking proper punctuation. These frequent errors cause some difficulty for the reader. To reach the next level, the writer needs to improve grammatical accuracy, eliminate basic punctuation and preposition errors, and demonstrate a reliable mix of error-free complex sentence structures.
