Student answer (Band 5.5)

The statement that it is very important for everyone including youth to save money is very true. I agree that we should always save some funds which can be used in any kind of emergenceis. Some beleives that we should not save because we dont know how many days we live, on which i agrees to some extent because it is definitely true that we dont know how many days we survive but we also dont know that which trial is awaiting for us tommorow. Life is not always the same, one could expereince trials anytime. Billionares can become homeless overnight and people from slums can move to castle overnight too, it is all fate. So I beleive that we should always save some specific funds every month from our salary for our future. This savings can be used for emergencies, paying your bills or college fees if you are running out of funds. And for the people who says that we dont know how long we live so we should not save, yes that's correct but in case we die our children can inherit those savings and it might help them build their future or used to undergo an emergency, this funds will always be useful if you live or don't. But those people who save all their money and don't spend a penny on themselves or their family are taking this statement fully wrong. There is a massive difference in these two categories and this category always gets hate from their soroundings which is definitely expectable. We should always live a life of joy but also save some monet for the future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you agree that people should save, while recognising that life should also be enjoyed. You address the counterargument that people may not live long and respond with the relevant point that savings can benefit children. Examples such as using money for emergencies, bills, or college fees also support your view. However, some ideas are asserted rather than explained: the contrast between billionaires becoming homeless and people from slums moving to castles is dramatic but not connected clearly to why regular saving is practical. The discussion of people who save everything is relevant, but its consequences are only briefly described. Develop these points with clearer reasoning and a specific example to make the argument more fully supported.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response follows a generally understandable line of thought: it introduces agreement, considers an opposing view, gives reasons to save, and ends by recommending balance. Linking expressions such as “but,” “so,” and “in case” help show relationships between ideas. However, the whole response is presented as one paragraph, so the shifts between the counterargument, examples of uncertainty, benefits to children, and excessive saving are not clearly signposted. Several ideas are joined in long sentences, and repeated references to “we don’t know” make the progression feel circular. Use separate paragraphs for your position, supporting reasons, and conclusion, and make each paragraph develop one main point. Clearer referencing would also help readers follow which group “these two categories” refers to.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of vocabulary for the topic, including “emergencies,” “inherit,” “college fees,” and “future,” and the main message remains understandable. There are also attempts at more vivid expression, such as “become homeless overnight.” However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural choices reduce accuracy, including “emergenceis,” “beleives,” “soroundings,” and “monet.” Some phrases are also awkward for this context: “undergo an emergency” and “taking this statement fully wrong” do not express the intended meaning naturally. Aim for accurate, conventional collocations and proofread spelling. More precise terms such as “unexpected expenses” and “financial security” would help express your ideas clearly without relying on dramatic contrasts.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession with “because” and a conditional idea beginning “in case we die.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the overall meaning can usually be followed. Some errors in agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction remain. For example, “Some believes” should be “Some believe,” while “people who says” should be “people who say.” In “on which I agrees,” the pronoun and verb form do not fit the construction; “which I partly agree with” would be clearer. The long opening section also joins several complete ideas with commas, making sentence boundaries difficult to follow. Practise subject–verb agreement and divide long sentences into shorter, accurately punctuated units.
