Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is often argued that everyone, including new genration, to save money for their future. I completely agree with this view because of unexpected emergency and some big future necessary purchase or investment.

One important reason why I agree is that emergency. This is because emergency are the unexpected ocurings that come any time in any face and it need large funds . For example, Sudenley a harmful decies come like cancer or TB now they make large hospital bills. As a result, In these problems savings are the only thing who tackell these and even if u not hosptlised the medicen and drugs also take a huge chunck of money.

Another significant reason is that some big future necessary purchase or investment. At a proper age there are some things that are so nesassary for every individual they have to purchace . For instance, Your offes is shift to a far location where public transportation fasalityes is not too good or not connected, persen have buy a car or At a certan age now you want a house that you call home. Consequently, These major investment only posible by your saving even for emi and monthly instolment prosess there is a certan amount you have to submit.

In conclusion, I completely agree that people have to save for future . This is mainly because unexpected emergency you have to pay bills of you drugs and hospital and At certan age there are some necessary purchase or investment like car or owned a house.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction (“I completely agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You give two relevant reasons—unexpected medical costs and major purchases—and support them with examples such as hospital bills, buying a car, and purchasing a home. This addresses the task and provides a sound basis for your argument. However, the examples are not always fully explained: the car scenario is difficult to follow, and the point about saving for instalments needs clearer reasoning. The response also relies on broad claims rather than developing the consequences of saving in more detail. To strengthen the argument, explain how savings provide security in emergencies and how regular saving makes large purchases manageable.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. The progression from emergencies to future purchases is logical, and signposts such as “One important reason,” “Another significant reason,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the argument. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and some references are unclear. For example, “In these problems savings are the only thing who tackle these” does not clearly identify what “these” refers to. The long examples also combine several points, making the progression harder to follow. Use clearer topic sentences and divide complex examples into shorter sentences; vary linking expressions and make pronoun references explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “unexpected emergency,” “hospital bills,” “investment,” and “monthly instalment,” so the main ideas can be understood. There are also attempts to use more specific terms, such as “public transportation” and “necessary purchase.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts difficult to read: “new genration,” “harmful decies,” “large chunck of money,” and “owned a house.” Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “at a proper age” and “big future necessary purchase.” Build accuracy by learning common collocations for finance and life events, and check spelling carefully. More precise phrasing would make your examples clearer and more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “This is because” and a conditional example beginning “where.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms often make the reader work to understand the meaning. For example, “emergency are the unexpected ocurings that come any time” has agreement and clause-structure problems, while “person have buy a car” lacks a correctly formed verb phrase. The opening sentence is also incomplete after “everyone, including new genration.” Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check articles and plural forms, and use full stops to separate the different parts of each example.
