Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent years, it is oftenly argued that its is essential to everyone, including young individuals, to develop the habit of saving money for their future. In my opinion i strongly agree with the given statement because saving money provide financial support and helps in unexpected expenses aong future goals.
Firstly, saving money is very important for future expenses. Saving money can provide financial safety during emergenicies. People may face difficult situation depending on medical expenses, urgent family responsibilty and unemployment. For instance, many people saving money from portion of their salary may able to manage few months after losing their job. If they save money, they can deal with difficult situation without depending hardly on others and taking out expensive loans.
Furthermore, saving money for the future goals is very much important as it helps young people to achieve their goals. Young adults may need a considerable amount of money in the future for higher education, buying a house, starting a business, or retirement. Developing a saving habit early also teaches financial discipline and encourages people to distinguish between essential and unnecessary spending. For instance, a university student who saves a small amount of money every month can gradually build enough funds to pay for professional courses or other educational expenses.
However, this does not mean that young people should save all of their income and avoid spending money on enjoyment. It is also important to maintain a balanced lifestyle and spend reasonably on social activities, hobbies and personal interests.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that saving money is important for everyone, particularly young people. Although they should not completely restrict their spending, developing a regular saving habit can provide financial stability, prepare them for unexpected situations, and help them achieve their future ambitions.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
Your position is clear from the introduction—“I strongly agree”—and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address the statement directly by explaining how savings can provide security during unemployment or medical costs and help young people pursue education, housing, and business goals. The examples, especially the student saving for professional courses, make the discussion relevant, and the qualification that young people should still spend reasonably adds balance. This is a well-supported response, although some claims remain general: the emergency paragraph lists possible difficulties but could explain more specifically how savings change the outcome. To strengthen the response further, develop one or two examples in greater detail and connect them explicitly to why saving matters for everyone, not only young people.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall progression: it introduces your view, gives two supporting reasons, acknowledges a qualification, and concludes consistently. Paragraphing is appropriate, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Furthermore,” “However,” and “In conclusion” make the structure easy to follow. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some of the flexibility associated with stronger cohesion. However, the linking is somewhat formulaic, and repeated references to “saving money” make connections feel mechanical. Some sentences within the first body paragraph could also be linked more smoothly—for example, the list of emergencies is followed by an example without much explanation of the relationship. Use a wider range of transitions and clearer referencing, while keeping the logical paragraph structure.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “financial safety,” “unemployment,” “financial discipline,” “essential and unnecessary spending,” and “financial stability.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and phrases such as “build enough funds” show an attempt to use more specific language. However, the range is limited by repetition of “saving money,” “future,” and “important,” while several inaccurate word forms, spellings, and collocations are noticeable: “oftenly,” “emergenicies,” “responsibilty,” and “depending hardly on others.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause, even though the overall meaning remains understandable. Build accuracy alongside range by checking spelling and choosing natural combinations such as “rely heavily on others” and “save part of their salary.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “If they save money, they can deal with difficult situation” and a relative clause in “a university student who saves a small amount.” Most ideas remain understandable, and the later paragraphs show some control of longer sentences. However, errors occur often enough to limit accuracy. Examples include “its is essential to everyone,” “saving money provide,” and “many people saving money … may able to manage,” where agreement, verb forms, or sentence construction are faulty. Articles and plurals also need attention, as in “during emergenicies” and “difficult situation.” Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb, then review articles and singular/plural nouns.
