Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You clearly answer the question and maintain a strong position: “I strongly agree” is reinforced in the conclusion. Your reasons—preparing for emergencies, becoming financially independent, funding future goals and avoiding debt—are relevant, and examples such as saving for medical treatment and higher education help explain them. However, some points are asserted rather than fully developed; for instance, the link between savings and avoiding debt is brief, and the benefits for young people could be explained more specifically. The response also falls 24 words short of the required minimum, which limits the space available to extend your reasoning. Develop each main point with a fuller explanation or a specific example to make the argument more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The ideas progress logically from protection against uncertainty to future goals, and signposts such as “Additionally,” “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the argument. This organisation is effective, though some linking feels mechanical because several points are introduced in a list-like way. The second body paragraph also contains multiple ideas—education, investment, housing and debt—without much development or clear separation. Improve progression by grouping related points and showing how one leads to another; use pronouns or other referencing carefully, and vary transitions rather than relying mainly on explicit connectors.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “financially independent,” “uncertainties,” “higher education” and “avoid debts.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “emergency treatment” and “long term goals.” However, several spelling errors and unnatural word combinations reduce precision, including “uncertainies,” “achivement,” “peoole,” “do savings” and “unexpected emergency rise.” Some wording is also repetitive, particularly repeated references to “save money” and “savings.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations for personal finance, then use a few precise alternatives to avoid repetition. These improvements would make your vocabulary more natural and reliable.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple and more developed sentence forms, including a reason clause (“because people can use the savings…”) and a relative clause (“which require emergency treatment”). The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence boundaries. For example, “health problem arise” needs a plural or an agreeing verb, while “a person have” should be “a person has.” The sentence beginning “such as taking loan” is also an incomplete continuation, and punctuation is inconsistent, with missing spaces after full stops. Review subject–verb agreement and article use, and check that each sentence has a complete main clause. More accurate complex sentences would strengthen control.
