Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You give a clear position—“I agree”—and keep your response focused on saving for the future. You also offer a relevant general reason: circumstances can change and people may face difficulties later. However, the task is addressed only minimally: this reason is repeated rather than explained, and there is no specific example or developed supporting idea. The response also does not meet the 250-word minimum; 16 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. To strengthen your answer, explain what future costs or unexpected events savings could help with, and illustrate this with a relevant example. A fuller discussion would make your position more convincing and address the task more completely.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a basic beginning, middle and conclusion, and phrases such as “First of all” and “In the end” signal the intended stages. The main position is also repeated, so the reader can follow your general view. However, progression is limited: the body paragraph largely restates that situations change, without adding a distinct supporting point or example. Some links are awkward or unclear, including “So, i will give my opnion in this regard in the upcoming pragraph,” which announces the essay rather than advancing its argument. Build a clearer sequence by stating one reason, explaining it, and then giving an example; use paragraphing to separate these steps and avoid repeating the same conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use a small set of relevant terms, including “save money,” “future,” “situation,” and “ups and downs,” which keeps the topic identifiable. However, vocabulary is basic and repetitive, and several word choices or collocations make the meaning less natural, such as “a lot of troubles occur” and “spend good life at that moment.” There are also spelling errors, including “ongiong,” “futher,” “opnion,” and “eassy.” These issues fit a limited range in which noticeable errors can make the reader work to understand the intended meaning. Expand your topic vocabulary and check spelling; more precise phrases for unexpected costs and financial security would help you explain your ideas clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the overall opinion can usually be understood. However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and errors occur frequently in basic patterns. For example, “the young people to save money” is missing a correctly formed verb phrase, while “there is a lot of troubles occur” combines incompatible structures. Verb forms and agreement are also problematic in “the situation is not same” and “Some ups and downs should have occur.” Capitalisation and punctuation need attention too, as in “i Would” and the missing space after “life.” Practise accurate subject–verb patterns and simple past, present and modal constructions before adding more complex sentences.
