Student answer (Band 5.0)

These days increasing number of people waste money. It is main for everyone, adding teenage people, to save money for their future. If questioned, i agree with this statement to large extent. My preference is explained in upcoming paragraphs with valid reason and appropriate examples.

The fundamental reason for my inclination is that, nowadays people spent money on extra thing like in cafe however we could save money for our future. Therefore when we have in troubling that fund also help in that situation. In that generation people need lots of money for study too, for study abroad take more money. As example, If people would save cash, in problems that too support. We do not take banknotes. As result, they also need for our bad situation and not take money from anyone.

furthermore, in that generation also we need saved money in sometimes. People have less expectation also important that future. I also saved money on my wallet. Per week i saved five hundred rupees. In addition when i went for shopping i also tried how to i did less shopping. But also have help for needed people. As example, parents could save money so, parents pay their children's study. And whenever child demand for thing so parents should complete dream of child.

In conclusion, all people save money for their future. Waste money on surplus thing like travelling. In addition saved money per week or money therefore also help in needed situation. Loss expectation was control by people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is stated clearly: “I agree with this statement to large extent,” and the response gives relevant reasons, including saving for education, emergencies, and children’s needs. The personal example of saving 500 rupees each week also helps connect the topic to your experience. However, the discussion remains limited and some points are unclear or insufficiently explained—for example, “We do not take banknotes” does not clearly support the argument, and the point about travelling is introduced only in the conclusion. To develop the response further, explain how saving benefits young people specifically and extend each reason with a clear example or consequence. A more consistent focus on the question would make the argument more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. You also use linking expressions such as “Therefore,” “In addition,” and “In conclusion.” However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because ideas are added without clear connections. For instance, the first body paragraph moves from spending in cafés to emergencies, studying abroad, and banknotes, while “As result” does not clearly connect the preceding point to the next one. Some transitions are repetitive or awkward, and references such as “that generation” are unclear. Organise each paragraph around one main reason, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next point.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “save money,” “future,” “study abroad,” and “emergency”-related language, and the personal example makes your meaning partly accessible. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repetitive or inaccurately chosen, which sometimes makes the reader work to understand your ideas. Examples include “extra thing,” “in troubling,” “less expectation,” and “Loss expectation was control by people.” Some expressions appear to be direct translations rather than natural English collocations. Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing financial planning, such as “unexpected expenses” and “set aside money,” and check whether each word combination sounds natural in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including conditional forms such as “If people would save cash” and clauses beginning with “when” and “whenever.” However, the longer attempts are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence construction frequently make meaning unclear. For example, “people spent money” does not fit the present-time argument, “it is main for everyone” is not a complete, accurate construction, and “parents pay their children's study” has an unclear grammatical relationship between the words. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in the lowercase “i” and several comma-heavy sentences. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them using one clear subordinate clause.
