Student answer (Band 5.5)

Saving money is a great and the most important task a person can do to secure their future. There is a debate that it is important for everyone including youth to save money for their future. I strongly agree with this view because there is no other option to secure life except saving money.

First and foremost, saving money is one the noble virtues. People should save money to ensure the safety of their future and their families. People who spent full of their sallery in every month without saving any money. They can suffer a lot in future. Moreover, Saving money for child care and education is also an important thing. The education fees are increasing every moment and some of the peoples don't have the oportunity to pay that education fees without saving anymoney. For example, most of the middle class people's sallary is around 2000 to 3000 dollar per month. On the other hand the fees of a school is 1200 dollar per month. Those people cannot pay this much money for their children.

In contrast, there are some drawbacks in save money. Some people being so miserly for saving excessive money from the begnning. For this reason, people usually don't fulfill their needs and everyday food they needed. Including that, they also forget their passion or hobbies which they really wanted to fullfill in their future but saving excessively erase those dreams which they really wanted to be true. For instance, some individuals who really want to buy a guitar or any musical instrument in their life but for being miserly, they forget their dreams and don't want to buy that musical instrument anymore.

In conclusion, I strongly agree with this view because this is really important to ensure safety for individuals families. They should make money and save some to secure future which is essential for their future. Although some people are being miserly for saving excessing money. Nevertheless it is really important to save a little money which can make life much easier.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly agree that saving helps people secure their future. You address the main issue with relevant points about family security and education costs, and you also acknowledge a drawback—excessive saving can prevent people from meeting needs or enjoying hobbies. However, the supporting ideas are not equally developed. The education example gives figures, but the link between regular saving and being able to afford fees could be explained more clearly. The point about saving for family security remains broad, and the guitar example illustrates excessive saving more than the importance of saving for the future. Develop each point with a clearer explanation of how it supports your position and qualify the claim that saving is the only way to secure life.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting benefits and drawbacks, and a conclusion. Paragraphs generally have a clear central focus, and signposts such as “First and foremost,” “In contrast,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. “In contrast” introduces a drawback, but the relationship between that paragraph and your overall agreement could be made more explicit. The sentence beginning “People who spent full of their sallery…” is incomplete, which interrupts the progression from the general point to its consequence. Some ideas also repeat the claim that saving secures the future. Use clearer links between claims, explanations, and examples, and avoid relying mainly on formulaic transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “education fees,” “child care,” “miserly,” “passion,” and “secure their future.” There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “noble virtues,” though this is not a natural collocation in this context. Word choice and spelling errors are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: “sallery/sallary,” “oportunity,” “begnning,” and “fullfill” are misspelled, while “save excessively erase those dreams” is awkwardly expressed. Repetition of “future,” “saving,” and “people” also limits range. Build precision by learning common collocations for financial planning and checking spelling, word forms, and whether a phrase sounds natural in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause with “because” and a concession beginning “Although.” Most of the argument remains understandable, but grammatical errors occur across the response and some sentences are incomplete or difficult to follow. “People who spent full of their sallery in every month without saving any money” is a fragment rather than a complete sentence; it needs a main clause or should be joined to the following sentence. There are also errors in verb forms and agreement, as in “some people being so miserly” and “saving excessively erase those dreams.” Articles, plurals, and sentence punctuation need more consistent control. Practise checking each sentence for a subject and finite verb, then review agreement and clause boundaries.
