Student answer (Band 5.5)
For savings, few things are more important than save money for the future. In many developed or developing countries, a substantial amount of attention is given to save money for the future, as it often requires different resources such as stable income, financial knowledge etc.Nowadays many would agree that modern society is moving beyond its traditional boundaries, and the savings for the future is becoming increasingly important for people.Nevertheless, I strongly agree with this statement.
Naturally, save money is considered highly important for the future, as it often creates valuable facilities for improving economic condition and life style, ensure security. Moreover, it demonstrates remarkable benefit for the people, as it influences and improves many important areas of peoples lives. If this is adopted by society alike many people can benefit significantly. For instance, when people become ill suddenly, they can easily take treatment via their savings.
Under certain circumstances, however, people may hesitate to support save money for the future because of several disadvantages such as less enjoyment, mental stress etc. While save money for the future is widely accepted in many major cities and developed areas, people from poorer or developing regions may face difficulties because of lack of money, limited resources and access. Therefore, the idea of save money for the future does not seem always attractive or practical to everyone.
However, from my perspective, is the goals of secure future is show that save money is not merely an option but a necessity, then people may choose to accept a balanced approach. It is the resopnsibility of people to evaluate the role of savings for the future and decide whether it will bring more benefit than harm. Therefore, I firmly believe that save money for the future is beneficial for us.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear in the opening and conclusion: you “strongly agree” that saving is important. You give relevant reasons, especially the example of using savings to pay for treatment after sudden illness, and you acknowledge that people with limited means may find saving difficult. However, the response only partially develops the task: the benefits are described broadly as improving “economic condition and life style” and providing “security,” without explaining these points in detail. The discussion of disadvantages also focuses mainly on reduced enjoyment and financial hardship, rather than examining how these affect your overall position. To strengthen the response, explain why saving matters for young people specifically and develop each reason with a clearer example or consequence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, supporting paragraphs, a counterpoint and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “For instance,” and “However” help signal relationships between ideas. However, the overall progression is not always clear: the first body paragraph lists several general benefits, while the next shifts to disadvantages without clearly connecting them to the argument. Some transitions are mechanical or do not express the relationship precisely, and repeated references to “save money for the future” make the writing feel repetitive. The final paragraph also contains an unclear sentence that interrupts the conclusion’s logic. Organise each paragraph around one main point, use clearer references to earlier ideas, and make the counterargument’s relationship to your agreement explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt some topic-appropriate vocabulary, including “stable income,” “financial knowledge,” “limited resources,” and “balanced approach.” These choices show an effort to discuss savings beyond very basic terms. However, the range is limited by frequent repetition of “save money for the future,” and several word choices or collocations are unnatural, such as “valuable facilities for improving economic condition” and “the savings for the future.” There are also spelling and word-form problems, including “resopnsibility” and “life style,” which reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise expressions for financial security and planning, and check that words combine naturally. Using a wider range of accurate terms would make the argument clearer and less repetitive.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “as,” “when,” and “because,” but control is inconsistent. Errors occur frequently in verb forms and sentence construction: “few things are more important than save money” needs a gerund, and “Naturally, save money is considered” has an incorrect subject form. The sentence beginning “However, from my perspective, is the goals…” is difficult to follow because its clause structure is incomplete or confused. There are also problems with articles, agreement and punctuation, such as “the savings … is becoming” and missing spaces after full stops. Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses; careful proofreading for verb forms, agreement and sentence boundaries will improve clarity.
