Student answer (Band 6.0)

Having a safe of secured future should be the priority of everyone. Saving money for future is very crusial for everybody including youngsters.I entirely agree with this opinion as this approach guarentees secure future and helps people not to beg for money to anyone and assists them to spend money wisely. In course of this essay I will give reasons to justify my stance.

To begin with, a strong reason behind my view is that it makes an individual feel safe and secure. In this modern and competitive era, people don't know about security of their job. They can lose it and become unemployed in just blink of an eye. In addition, any medical emergency in their family can also happen anyday. So, they will not have to beg for financial help or take loans from bank if they had saved some money for hardtimes. For instance, if a middle class person have savings for atleast six months then he will not stress out in case of losing his job. Consequently, individuals will enjoy more self respect as they will have to beg for help.

Another cheif reason for encouraging adolescents to save a proportion of their money is that it will prevent them from wasting their money on unnecessary things. As in this era of social media and technology, youngsters easily get influenced with lavish lifestyle of parties etc. So they eventually become extravagent just to copy these influencers. As a result, they end up losing all their money on useless products and in severe cases resulting in homelessness. For example, it was found in a study that the people who save a little proportion of their salery are those who manage their finances in a great way and spend money carefully.

In conclusion, every human should save money for a better and secure future and this approch will assist them to not spread their hands in front of anybody in tough times and also enables them to spend only on necessary stuff.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

Your position is clear from the introduction—“I entirely agree”—and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address the statement’s focus on everyone, including young people, by discussing financial security for adults and responsible spending among adolescents. Both main reasons are relevant and supported: the job-loss and medical-emergency examples explain the value of savings, while the discussion of social-media influence illustrates why young people may benefit from saving. The six-month savings example is particularly concrete. Some claims, however, are broad or not fully explained, such as the suggestion that overspending can lead to homelessness and the study reference, which gives no details. Develop these points with clearer reasoning or more specific evidence.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion that restates your position. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Another chief reason,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow, and examples are placed alongside the points they support. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some of the flexibility expected at the next level. However, several links are mechanical or repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “So,” “As a result,” and “Consequently.” The final sentence of the first body paragraph also repeats the idea of not needing help rather than advancing the argument. Use clearer referencing and vary transitions so relationships between claims feel more natural.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “financial help,” “medical emergency,” “unemployed,” and “manage their finances,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “competitive era” and “lavish lifestyle.” However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “money,” “future,” and “secure,” while several spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable: “safe” for “safe,” “crusial,” “guarentees,” “cheif,” “extravagent,” and “salery.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “spread their hands in front of anybody” and “copy these influencers.” These errors reduce precision and can distract the reader. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning natural collocations for saving, borrowing, and financial independence.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if they had saved some money” and clauses introduced by “as” and “that.” This allows you to explain causes and consequences, and your meaning is usually recoverable. However, errors occur across sentence forms and sometimes make the reader pause. For example, “if a middle class person have savings” has a subject–verb agreement error, and “if they had saved” does not fit smoothly with the surrounding present or future meaning. In “individuals will enjoy more self respect as they will have to beg,” the second clause contradicts the intended point. Review agreement, tense consistency, articles, and punctuation, and proofread each sentence to ensure its clauses express the intended relationship.
