Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you agree that everyone, including young people, should save for the future, and the conclusion restates this view. You give relevant reasons, including preparing for difficult periods, helping with education costs, and funding a future business without relying on loans. These examples address the task, and the discussion of young people’s savings is particularly relevant. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained: for instance, the claim that using personal money for investment reduces fear of loss needs clearer reasoning or a specific example. The brief reminder to focus on education and learning is relevant but not developed. More balanced explanation and support for each main idea would make the response more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, supporting paragraphs, a qualification beginning “However,” and a conclusion. The ideas generally progress from the value of saving to its practical benefits, and linking expressions such as “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” help signal this movement. This gives the essay an overall coherent arrangement. At times, though, cohesion is mechanical or unclear because several ideas are packed into long sentences, especially the example about saving pocket money and reducing the burden on parents. Some references, such as “that person” and “they,” make it less clear who is being discussed. Use shorter sentences, make pronoun references explicit, and organise each paragraph around one main reason to improve the flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “savings,” “educational expenses,” “investments,” “loans,” and “confidence,” so the main ideas are understandable. There are also attempts at more specific expressions such as “hard times” and “face risk and challenges.” However, the range and control are limited by repeated basic wording, especially “money,” “save,” and “future,” as well as inaccurate or unnatural choices such as “luxury life,” “complex times,” and “establing any bussines.” Numerous spelling errors—including “improtant,” “expensise,” and “oppurtunities”—also make the writing less polished and can slow the reader. Build a wider set of accurate collocations for saving and financial planning, and proofread spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with subordinate clauses, for example when explaining how savings could help with education or business plans. This shows an effort to express connected and conditional ideas. However, the longer structures are often faulty, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries recur. Examples include “money have became,” “everyone have dreams,” and “If a young individual will start saving,” where the verb forms and agreement are not controlled. Several sentences run together without appropriate punctuation, making relationships between ideas harder to follow. Practise accurate present-tense generalisations and conditional forms, and divide long sentences into shorter units. Greater control of these patterns would make your meaning clearer.
