Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear: you completely agree that people, including young people, should save. You give relevant reasons, such as having money during illness or unemployment and paying for education or travel. However, the response only partially develops these ideas: the examples are listed rather than explained, and the point about saving helping young people manage responsibility is unclear. The conclusion repeats your opinion without adding a developed final insight. The response is also 60 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to explain and support your reasons. To strengthen the response, develop each main point with a specific example and explain how it demonstrates the value of saving.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “firstly” and “secondly,” and a conclusion. These markers help the reader identify the main sections. However, progression within the paragraphs is limited: several ideas are joined in long strings with repeated “and” or “also,” so the relationship between points is not always clear. For example, the second body paragraph moves from goals to expenses, travel, clothes, and responsibility without explaining how these ideas connect. The conclusion also repeats earlier claims. Use clearer topic sentences, separate supporting points, and connect each example directly to its main idea to create a more consistent progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use enough basic vocabulary to communicate the central ideas, including “save money,” “difficult situations,” “education,” and “achieve their goals.” However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “money,” “save,” and “future.” Some choices are inaccurate or unclear, such as “the most powerful things in this world” and “going to outdoor to visti new place,” which make parts of the message harder to understand. Spelling errors such as “inculding,” “geeting,” and “couclusion” also reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of precise expressions for financial security and future plans, and check spelling and collocations when revising.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, the range is limited, and longer sentences often contain several grammatical problems. For example, “if we are geeting sick and jobless at that time also easy to survive” lacks a clear main clause, while “everyone have to save” has subject–verb disagreement. There are also errors with articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries, as in “everyone life” and the lower-case “i” after full stops. These frequent errors sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, then add subordinate clauses only when you can control their structure.
