Student answer (Band 6.0)
In today's world, money plays a vital role to survive in this society. It is very important for every person either elder or young ones, to save money for their future use. I strongly agree in saving the money so that one can live a happy life.
To begin with, saving money provides financial security during any type of emergency. To explain this, life is unpredictable and people may face unexpected situations, if they have saved money, it will help in dwaling with it. Morever, having savings allow them to manage these difficult situation. For example, if someone lose job, then, the saving help them to cover their expenses until they will find new job.
Another important reason of saving money is that it helps people to achieve their future goals and ambitions. To elaborate this, many young people want to pursue higher education in abroad, so if they have their savings, this will assist them to get admission as studying in foreign countries require large amount of money. To illustrate, by saving small portion of pocket money , helps the youngsters to make a habit of saving which will be helpful for their future as it is a step to learn how to save money. Furthermore, it teaches them financial discipline and encourage them to spend money wisely.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that everyone, particularly youth should develop a habit of securing money for their future needs. This will discipline in them and they learn the importance of money and use it wisely so that they make a secure future and libe happily everafter.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly agree that people, including young people, should save. You address the topic with two relevant reasons—financial protection in emergencies and saving towards future goals—and support them with examples such as covering expenses after job loss and funding overseas study. This fully covers the central parts of the task and shows some development beyond simply stating your opinion. However, the emergency example is more fully explained than the education point, and the claim that saving leads to a “happy life” is broad rather than demonstrated. To strengthen the response further, explain more precisely how saving benefits young people over time and develop each example with a specific consequence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs organised around separate reasons, and a conclusion that restates your view. Signposting such as “To begin with,” “Another important reason,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the progression. However, several links feel mechanical, particularly the repeated “To explain this,” “To elaborate this,” and “To illustrate.” Some references are also unclear: in “it will help in dealing with it,” the reader must infer what both instances of “it” refer to. The final paragraph introduces discipline and wise spending again without clearly connecting these points to the preceding discussion. Use a wider range of natural transitions and make pronoun references explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “financial security,” “emergency,” “higher education,” “ambitions,” and “financial discipline.” These choices show an attempt to go beyond very basic wording. However, the range is uneven, and several inaccurate or unnatural expressions reduce precision: “dwaling with it,” “manage these difficult situation,” and “make a secure future” are examples. Spelling slips such as “Morever” and “libe” also affect the impression of control. Aim for accurate collocations and check spelling carefully; for instance, describe savings as helping people “cope with unexpected expenses” or “build a secure financial future.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “if they have saved money, it will help” and a reason clause beginning “as studying in foreign countries require…”. The overall meaning is generally understandable, but some errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction remain. For example, “having savings allow” should use a singular verb, while “if someone lose job” needs appropriate verb agreement and an article. In “This will discipline in them,” the sentence structure is incomplete, and “they learn” does not fit smoothly with the surrounding future construction. Review subject–verb agreement and practise building accurate conditional and cause-and-effect sentences before adding more complex ideas.
