Student answer (Band 5.0)

At first glance, this topic seems basic, but from the global point of view it place a significant role in young people lives. This is very common in this generation for adults to invest in things which is not nessessary for them and the reason behind it the infulance of social media and not having the proper understanding about needs and wants.

However, it is not only a problem for teenagers but also problmatic for every age group. They are not able to diffrenciate between the need and wants, and spend their money in products which is not required for them in future.

According to my option the major reason is social life in which they are focusing in showing wealth not on the requirements which cause them the loose in future. For instance people are now days going in malls and showrooms just to post their self on internet and spend their income on those items which is not demanding in there personal use.

The most unexpected point is they have the basic knowledge of that from there foundational education which they get from their schooling and universities but they are not giving the required attenstion on that which became a disadvantage for them now days.

In recent years, academic istitutions also understand the importance and started some new subjects, add chapters related to finance, budge and get

istrustions to students and giving them projects which help them to understand about the importance of money. For example, in many contries parents leave their childern schooling in there hand.

In conclusion, every one have to understand the importance of money for there upcoming life. They have to understand the role of money they get they have to know about when the earn by there internships and jobs, so they have start working .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You discuss the general importance of managing money and give relevant reasons, including social-media pressure and spending to display wealth. The examples about shopping and financial education also relate to the topic. However, the task asks whether you agree or disagree that everyone, including young people, should save for their future. Your position is only indirectly expressed, and much of the response focuses on unnecessary spending rather than explaining the value of saving or how it benefits people later. The point about schools introducing finance subjects is promising, but its connection to your argument is not fully explained. State your degree of agreement clearly, then develop two reasons with specific links to future security, goals, or unexpected costs.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

Your response has an introduction, several body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and you use signposts such as “However,” “For instance,” and “In conclusion.” These help readers recognise some shifts in the discussion. Nevertheless, the overall progression is not consistently clear: the response moves from social-media spending to education and then to parents’ role without showing how each point supports the central claim about saving. Some references are also difficult to follow, particularly “they have the basic knowledge” and “leave their children schooling in there hand.” Plan paragraphs around distinct reasons, use topic sentences, and make pronouns refer clearly to named people or ideas. A more direct link between each example and your position would make the argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “social media,” “requirements,” “foundational education,” and “importance of money.” This gives the response a basic range for discussing spending and financial learning. However, word choice, spelling, and collocation errors are frequent and sometimes make meaning unclear, as in “the loose in future,” “not demanding in there personal use,” and “show their self on internet.” Several expressions are also imprecise, such as “the role of money they get.” Aim for accurate, natural phrases such as “financial loss,” “not needed for personal use,” and “display their wealth online.” Proofread spelling carefully and choose vocabulary that directly expresses saving, budgeting, and future financial security.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including explanations with “because” or “which,” and you use paragraph-level sentences to connect causes and examples. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction can make the message difficult to understand. For example, “it place a significant role” has an agreement error, while “every one have to understand” and “they have to start working” show problems with verb forms and sentence structure. Punctuation is also inconsistent, especially around commas and sentence boundaries. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine related ideas using one clear subordinate clause. Check subject–verb agreement and read each sentence aloud during revision.
