Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is believed that saving money for one's future is crucial for everyone including young people. I wholly concur to this statement as extravagant spending leads one to street. Saving money is supposed to be significantly important than earning.
As we all know earning money is the only channel to fulfill our basic and secondary requirements, even if we earn lakhs or crores, there is no point if we spend every penny of it. But if we ern fifty thousnds but put the 40% aat least in saving, it will give us emergency fund in future in need.Being life unpredictable, a friend with saving habit could lend money to another friend who earn lakhs. He will be evident for a friend in need who is a friend indeed.
It is mandatory for young people to start saving from their early days to have peace of mind even if they have noone to take care of them in old age. Because old people who depend entirely to their offspring could be a burden s they themselves my need to think about starting their own family. Saving money could be life saving rituals for those who may need to rely on others for basic needs...,. It will be fine if they have pensions from governments if they have been acquainted to public organizations but still money will be their greatest boon if they could save more.
In conclusion, to save a money is a skill that can save you when there is noone and we should teach our childrens and youngsters to learn this capacity for

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the opening: “I wholly concur,” and you give relevant reasons, including emergency savings, support for friends, and financial independence in old age. These points address the question and show the beginnings of a developed argument. The emergency-fund example is the clearest, while the discussion of older people and pensions is less fully explained, and the claim that saving is more important than earning is introduced but not explored. To strengthen the response further, explain how each example supports your view and qualify broad claims—for instance, why young people should save even when they have limited income. The conclusion restates your position, but its final thought is unfinished, so it does not fully bring the argument to a close.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs with distinct themes, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the main argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes uneven. In the first body paragraph, the move from basic needs to a friend lending money is not clearly signposted, and “Being life unpredictable” does not establish the relationship between the ideas smoothly. Some linking is mechanical, particularly repeated uses of “if” and “even if,” while references such as “He” after “a friend” can be unclear. The conclusion also ends mid-thought, weakening the sense of completion. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the paragraph’s main point; vary linking expressions and check that pronouns have unmistakable references.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary suited to the topic, including “emergency fund,” “peace of mind,” “offspring,” and “pensions,” and some phrases communicate your ideas effectively. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-choice, and collocation errors make parts difficult to read. Examples include “ern,” “thousnds,” and “aat,” as well as “saving money is supposed to be significantly important” and “life saving rituals,” which are not natural expressions in this context. “Extravagant spending leads one to street” is also unclear. Build accuracy by learning common financial collocations and proofreading spelling. Prefer precise phrases such as “spending beyond one’s means,” “set aside a portion of one’s income,” and “a financial safety net” rather than translating expressions literally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and attempts at more complex structures, such as “even if we earn…” and “who may need to rely on others,” so there is some variety. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors recur in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation. For example, “Saving money is supposed to be significantly important than earning” lacks the correct comparative structure, while “old people who depend entirely to their offspring” has an incorrect grammatical pattern. The sentence beginning “Because old people…” is a fragment, and the final sentence is incomplete. These problems sometimes make the intended meaning harder to follow. Practise building complete sentences around one main clause, then check articles, verb forms, and punctuation, especially in longer sentences.
