Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address the topic by discussing both the benefits of saving and reasons some people spend money, and you state, “I partialy agree.” Relevant examples include saving for emergencies, education, a home and retirement. However, the position is not sustained clearly: the discussion of spending shifts between spending on education and enjoying the present, without explaining how these points support your degree of agreement. Several ideas are only briefly stated, and the final sentence is incomplete, so the conclusion does not clearly answer the question. The response also falls 11 words short of the required minimum. To strengthen the response, state your position precisely, develop each main reason with explanation, and finish with a complete conclusion that directly answers the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph about saving, a paragraph about spending, and an attempted conclusion. Linking expressions such as “In addition,” “Moreover,” and “On the other hands” show an effort to connect ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the saving paragraph moves from emergencies to milestones and then to bank deposits and online stocks without explaining the relationships. The spending paragraph also combines several different points, making the argument difficult to follow. Some connectors are used inaccurately or mechanically, and the final line breaks off. Organise each body paragraph around one clear reason, explain it in sequence, and use linking phrases only where they accurately show the relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “financial stability,” “emergency situations,” “retirement,” and “unforeseen circumstances,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or informal, such as “some guys,” “make stocks,” “fundings,” and “life is immortal.” Spelling errors, including “beacuse,” “empthasized,” and “unawre,” are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Aim for precise, natural expressions and check spelling carefully. For example, use “invest in stocks” rather than “make stocks,” and “savings” or “funds” rather than “fundings.” A wider set of accurate terms for financial planning would help express your ideas more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a sentence beginning “Although” in effect through “However” and examples introduced by “such as.” Some sentence patterns communicate basic ideas, but complex attempts are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts difficult to read. For instance, “some people agree with this statement … and some disagree … but i partialy agree” has unclear sentence structure and inconsistent punctuation, while “some people loves” has subject–verb disagreement. The final sentence, “In conclusion, it thought saving-money has play,” is incomplete and contains incorrect verb forms. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, checking agreement and tense, and using punctuation to separate ideas.
