Student answer (Band 5.5)
The important of saving money for the future including young people is a metter of considerable dabate today. While some agree that saving money for the future is not benifical for the individuals. I strongly believe that saving money no matter how old is the person is very crucial.
Those who support not saving money for the future and there is no need for that argue that we live only once because of that we should spend money to buy everything we like without thinking twice, for instance even if that thing isnt important to you, you should buy it because u liked it. In addition, thinking a lot about ut limits of spending and about your budget leads to burnout espcially for young people. Which i totaly disagree with.
Other point to consider in that saving money is important although some people argue that it is not, I strongly believe that it id crucial for all individuals no metter how age are they because not spending money for something that you dont really need make you more wise with money because it is the samell habits that yield for big results . In addition, saving will make you more not scared for emergencies because with the savings that individuals can solve thier emergency financely problems. Saving from a really young age make the individuals in the future dont stress for debts ,for example all people when they grow up they try to finance thier studies or buy a car or rent a house the first thing that comes not thier mind is debt however if people save money they can
use it for this thing, they will be able to fund major life goals as a result it save them for big problems. Therefore it is evident that saving money and spending wisely for the idividuals espicially young people is benifical.
In conclusion I totaly agree that saving cash is crucial for people no metter how age are they because it is a long terme security and peace for the future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction to the conclusion: you strongly agree that saving is important for people of all ages. You address the opposing view that people should enjoy their money now, then give relevant reasons for saving, including emergencies, education, buying a car and renting a home. These examples show that you understand the task and support your main argument. The response reaches beyond a basic answer by considering both sides, but some points are not fully explained. For example, the claim that budgeting leads to burnout is introduced as an opposing argument without much development, and the benefits of saving for major goals are repeated rather than explored in detail. Develop fewer points with clearer explanation and specific examples to strengthen the argument further.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting the opposing view, a paragraph supporting your position, and a conclusion. The overall direction is understandable, and linking expressions such as “In addition,” “for instance” and “Therefore” help signal relationships between ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven. The second paragraph ends with “Which I totally disagree with,” an incomplete sentence that interrupts the flow, while the long third paragraph combines several reasons and examples without clear separation. Some links are also repetitive or awkward, and references such as “this thing” are not precise. Organise each body paragraph around one main point, use clearer transitions between claims and examples, and divide long sentences to make the progression easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “budget,” “emergencies,” “debts,” “fund major life goals” and “long-term security.” This gives you enough language to communicate your main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make the writing less natural and sometimes slow the reader. Examples include “the important of saving,” “not benifical,” “samell habits” and “peace for the future.” Repeated use of “saving money,” “important” and “individuals” also limits variety. Aim to learn accurate topic phrases and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise expressions, such as “financial security” or “build a savings habit,” would help you express your ideas more clearly and naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including explanations with “because,” examples introduced by “for instance,” and conditional ideas. The main message is generally recoverable, but complex sentences are often not controlled successfully, and errors occur frequently enough to make some passages difficult to follow. For example, “While some agree that saving money for the future is not beneficial for the individuals” is a dependent clause presented as a sentence, and “Saving from a really young age make the individuals…” has problems with subject–verb agreement and sentence construction. There are also errors in articles, plurals and punctuation, particularly in the extended third paragraph. Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then check agreement and punctuation before adding further ideas.
