Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear: “I staunchly agree,” and you give relevant reasons, including using savings after job loss, buying a home, and supporting education or a business. These examples show an understanding of the topic. However, the response addresses the task only partially because the reasons are mostly listed rather than explained, and the point about bank interest is not clearly connected to why everyone, especially young people, should save. The conclusion also introduces “Negative” without explaining what this refers to. The response is 33 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop your argument. Explain each main reason with a specific example and its consequences.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic essay structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To commence with” and “Furthermore” help signal the next point, and the reader can identify your main position. However, progression within paragraphs is limited: the first body paragraph moves quickly from job loss to buying a house and then bank interest, without showing how these points relate. Several ideas in the second paragraph are presented as a list. Some linking phrases are awkward or repetitive, and the conclusion begins abruptly with “conclusion” and “After taking all aspects…”. Group related reasons together and use clear references and transitions to show how each example supports your argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “surviving,” “interest,” “property,” “opportunity” and “bank balance,” so the reader can follow the general subject. There are also attempts at more formal wording, such as “staunchly agree” and “emphasize.” However, the range is limited and several choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, including “vindication would be elaborated,” “get doubled,” and “came out from bad time.” Spelling errors such as “fuure,” “heir” and “conserdation” also make the writing less clear. Aim for natural, precise phrases rather than formal-sounding expressions you are unsure how to use; check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, for example, “if person lost his job so he can use the saved money for their survival.” This shows an effort to explain cause and effect, but complex constructions are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to read. Examples include “It is vital for every individual including teenagers invest,” which needs a grammatical structure after “individual,” and “by purchasing house in the future wr can use,” where the sentence pattern and article use are unclear. There are also problems with agreement and verb forms, as in “it can be get doubled.” Practise building accurate sentences with “if” clauses and “by” phrases, and check articles, subject–verb agreement and punctuation.
