Student answer (Band 6.0)

In today's world, saving money has becomes increasingly important for people need financial security to deal with unexpected situations and achieve their future goals. I strongly agreed that everyone including young once have to learn about saving money for their future.

To commence with the first reason, with the habit of saving money people can able to deal with upcoming difficult sitution. In other words, sometimes people face medical issues in their family unexpectedly due to which they need to admit the patient urgently at that time saving helps a lot to deal with medical bills. For example, I always save money from my pocket money which allows me to help my father for contribution in medical bills when my grandmother was admit in hospital at that time. I learned the importance of saving money. In result, I always do saving not just for medical situation but also for personal thing which i wanted to buy.

The second important reason, saving money protects you from being trapped in debt and struggle to repay the borrowed money. For instance, many of the poeple spend their 90% salary in their first week by spending money on unnecessary things due to which they use credit cards However, when the credit card bill arrives at the end of the month, they may not have enough money to repay the outstanding balance. As a result, they may borrow money from others or rely on another credit card, which can trap them in a continuous cycle of debt and increase their financial stress.

In conclusion, having a habit of saving money place a lot of important role for everyone because it help to deal with future emergencies.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly agree that everyone, including young people, should save. You support this with two relevant reasons—preparing for medical emergencies and avoiding debt—and the personal example about helping with your grandmother’s medical bills makes the first point convincing. The credit-card example also explains a plausible consequence of not saving. This meets the task well, though the ideas are not equally developed: the first reason includes personal reflection, while the second is mainly a general scenario. The conclusion restates the importance of saving but does not bring the reasons together. To strengthen the response further, explain more directly why young people in particular should develop this habit and extend the second example with a specific consequence or solution.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. The progression from emergency savings to avoiding debt is logical, and phrases such as “For example,” “As a result,” and “In conclusion” help signal relationships between ideas. Some linking is mechanical, however, particularly “To commence with the first reason” and “The second important reason,” which announce paragraph functions rather than connecting ideas naturally. In the second body paragraph, “However” does not clearly express the relationship between the preceding spending pattern and the arriving bill. The conclusion is also brief and does not fully synthesise the argument. Use more precise transitions and clearer references between sentences to make cohesion smoother.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “financial security,” “medical bills,” “outstanding balance,” and “cycle of debt.” These phrases show some range beyond basic vocabulary. However, noticeable word-choice, collocation, word-form, and spelling errors sometimes make the writing less natural: “young once,” “difficult sitution,” “do saving,” and “place a lot of important role” are examples. Some wording is also repetitive, especially repeated references to “saving money” and “important.” Aim to learn common collocations as complete phrases, such as “build a savings habit” and “play an important role,” and check spelling and word forms during revision. More precise vocabulary would make your explanations clearer and more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “which,” “when,” and “due to which,” and most of the argument remains understandable. Some grammatical errors persist in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “saving money has becomes” should use the correct participle, while “people can able to deal” combines incompatible forms. In “I strongly agreed,” the tense does not match the present position, and “saving money place a lot of important role” has agreement and article problems. The sentence beginning “The second important reason” is also a fragment. Practise building accurate complex sentences and check each sentence for a clear subject and finite verb, as well as consistent tense and subject–verb agreement.
