Student answer (Band 4.5)

In modern times, money is the most important object for every individuals. Some people agree to save money for their future, including young people, whereas other do not agree wiith the statement. In my opinion, every individuals in the society should have knowlegde, to save money for their future.

On one hand, in all part of the world money is the key to open all doors of the inidviduals desire. Parents should provide financials education to their kids when they are mature enough to understand the need of the family. In school, teacher should be provide education in the classroom on saving money. In contrast, saving money for the future can help an individuals to know about the improtance for their daily basis. For example, at home parents should teach childrens to save money, by puting them in a piggy bag and make them understand when can they use this money. Learning to save money from young age will allow them, how to use it in time of need, like buying books, a desired gift for themselves or helping parents in time of need.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a relevant position in the introduction, saying that everyone should learn to save, and your example of parents teaching children to use a piggy bank supports the value of starting young. However, the response addresses the question only partially: it does not explain the extent of your agreement in a developed way, and the opposing view is introduced but not discussed. The final paragraph begins with “On the other hand,” but contains no argument, so the response ends without a conclusion. The ideas about education and using savings for books or emergencies are relevant, but need fuller explanation and support. The response is also 62 words below the required minimum, which limits the opportunity to develop the argument and cover all parts of the task.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an introduction is followed by a paragraph beginning “On one hand,” and the next paragraph is signalled with “On the other hand.” Examples are also connected to the point about teaching children to save. However, the overall progression is incomplete because the second side is left blank, and there is no concluding paragraph to bring the argument together. Some links are unclear or mechanical; for example, “In contrast” does not clearly introduce a contrasting idea after the point about school education. The sequence within the first body paragraph also shifts between parents, schools, and benefits without clearly showing how each point develops the main position. Complete each paragraph and use links that express the precise relationship between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “financial education,” “saving money,” “time of need,” and “desired gift.” These choices make the general subject understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning less clear. For instance, “money is the most important object” is an unnatural way to express its importance, while “financials education” and “piggy bag” do not convey the intended phrases accurately. There are also repeated references to “money” and “future,” with few precise alternatives. Build a wider set of natural topic collocations, such as “financial literacy,” “build savings,” and “unexpected expenses,” and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including the example sentence beginning “For example” and the clause “when they are mature enough to understand.” This shows an effort to explain and illustrate your ideas. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward. Examples include “every individuals … should have knowlegde,” “teacher should be provide education,” and “allow them, how to use it.” Plural forms are also inconsistent in “an individuals” and “childrens.” Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and infinitive structures, such as “teachers should provide” and “allow them to use it,” then proofread each sentence for agreement and articles.
