Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is often being said by the elder generation that, securing funds for better oppurtunities is very good initiative. Also, it can be applies to the youngsters or teenagers because that saved amount will help them in the future. Although I am agreeing myself on the statement that encourages people to save money for the future and i will discuss several benefits with an example in below paragrarphs.

Initially, the foremost advantage is an investments because it has many possible ways to keep that money secure. For example; the main reason why people do not want to save money, it because of taxes on earning can be one of the reason and that is why most of the people put those savings into other investing firms which can help them to increase the amount in few years with securtiy. There have been other pros such as it can be used in medical emergencies and for retirement life.

On the other hand, this idea is very useful for the young pupils as they need to fulfill their dreams in future they will need to be finanically capable and it is a great idea if they start to put enough amount of funds for the future. Furthermore, it will help them to sustain if they stuck in emergency situations. For example; a student needs to go for higher studies in United Kingdom and he does not have any family support but he has self savings in his account which can be enough to stay there for while. So far, there have been many underrated aspects such as some people saves money to buy their dream vehicle, clothes, shoes that helps them to feel happy.

In conclusion, I agreed with the statement because it has many advantages and with proper guidence can lead to perfect balanced future with full of joy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear: you agree that saving is important, and you address both general benefits and why it matters to young people. The examples of medical emergencies, retirement, and a student funding overseas study are relevant, so the response fully meets the core task. The 6.5-level strength is that you offer several supporting points and a specific illustration. However, some ideas are less fully explained than others: the discussion of investment and taxes is difficult to follow, and the point about saving for clothes or shoes is asserted rather than linked clearly to the main argument. Develop each example by explaining how saving produces security or future choice, and maintain a more precise line of reasoning throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas generally move from broad benefits to the particular value for young people. Linking expressions such as “Initially,” “On the other hand,” and “Furthermore” help signal stages in the discussion. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and some links do not accurately describe the relationship between ideas: “On the other hand” introduces another supporting point rather than a contrast. The investment paragraph also shifts quickly from taxes to investment firms, emergencies and retirement, making its progression less clear. Use fewer formulaic transitions and connect each sentence explicitly to the paragraph’s main point; clearer referencing would also help readers follow what “that money” and “those savings” refer to.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “investments,” “medical emergencies,” “retirement life,” and “financially capable,” which allows you to discuss several aspects of saving. There are also attempts at less common phrasing, such as “sustain” and “underrated aspects.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unnatural, and spelling errors such as “oppurtunities,” “securtiy,” and “finanically” are noticeable. Phrases including “perfect balanced future” and “dream vehicle, clothes, shoes” also lack natural precision. These issues sometimes make the intended meaning less clear. Build accuracy by learning common word partnerships for finance and future planning, and check spelling and word forms during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession in “Although I am agreeing…” and a conditional example about a student studying abroad. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction can make parts difficult to follow. For example, “it can be applies” has an incorrect verb form, while “the main reason … it because” lacks a grammatical link. “Some people saves” also has a subject–verb agreement error. Punctuation around examples and sentence boundaries is inconsistent. Practise building accurate clauses before adding complexity, and check each sentence for a clear subject and verb, correct agreement, and appropriate articles.
