Student answer (Band 6.0)

Now a days, savings are most important factor for future and considerable topic for debate also here i would like to say savings are best option which helps every person during tough times like recessions, lack of employments and provide financial stability.

On One Hand, I am fully agree with this statement to save money for future resulting into best out comes for every person, savings have its own different types like we can directly save money in bank accounts we also have options like big chunks investments in property which gives good returns in future banks are also providing faciloty like fixed deposit ,best intrest for saving money

There is one real life example my friend salary is 30,000 he already have made a best management plan from this he saves 5000 rs every month in his bank account, he was doing this since last 12 years and now he purchased a good asset 4bhk villa which cost is around 60 lakh so this way he invested a money into a property now in 2026 his assest worth is 1 crore this is perfect example how savings help us to grow .

On other hand i disagree with those people who are stingy or miserly because this kind of people dont even will to use money for necessary things which is wrong thing i would like to say money management is good but we dont have to compromise with our daily routine things.

to conclue this argument i would like to say in short savings are one of the best things for every person but we dont have to make ourself unwilling to spend money at all. because if save money today in future money will save us.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear: you agree that saving is important, while distinguishing sensible saving from being unwilling to spend on necessities. The bank and property options and your friend’s example make the argument relevant, and the conclusion restates your view. This meets the task well, with some elements developed more fully than others: the detailed example supports the benefits of saving, but the point about miserliness is brief and would benefit from a specific explanation or example of how excessive saving can harm daily life. To strengthen the response further, explain more directly why saving matters to young people in particular, and connect each example explicitly to your central argument. The position is clear, but some supporting ideas need fuller development and precision.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs and a conclusion. The example about your friend is placed in a relevant paragraph and helps the reader follow the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to track because several ideas are joined in long, loosely punctuated sentences. The transitions “On One Hand” and “On other hand” signal contrast, but the second side is not developed as fully as the first, and the opening paragraph’s ideas are crowded together. Use clearer topic sentences, divide explanations and examples into separate sentences, and make links between claims and evidence more explicit. This would make the organisation feel less mechanical and improve clarity of reference.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “financial stability,” “fixed deposit,” “investments,” and “asset,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts at more specific language in the example, such as describing the property’s value. However, word choice and spelling errors are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less precise: “lack of employments,” “best out comes,” “faciloty,” and “assest” are examples. Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “big chunks investments” and “made a best management plan.” Aim for accurate collocations and consistent spelling, and choose straightforward phrasing when unsure. A broader, more precisely controlled range would make the argument sound more natural and formal.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences that explain causes and examples, so there is some variety in structure. The main ideas are generally understandable, but grammatical errors are frequent enough to make parts of the response difficult to read. Examples include “I am fully agree,” “he already have made,” and “he saves 5000 rs every month … he was doing this,” where agreement, verb forms and tense consistency need attention. Articles and sentence boundaries also require control; for instance, the opening sentence runs several ideas together without clear punctuation. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea at a time, then add subordinate clauses carefully. Check subject–verb agreement, articles and tense choices during revision.
