Student answer (Band 6.0)

In contemporary society, fincancial security has become an important concern for people of all ages. Some individuals believe that everyone especially, young people should save money for their future. I firmly agree with that because saving money can help them to deal with unexpected e expenses and achieve their long term goals.

On the hand, saving money is essential becuase it provides finanial protection during difficult times. people may suddenly loose their job, face urgent medical emergency or enperience other unecpected circumstances. If they have some money, they can manage he these situations without borrowing from anyone. For example, a young person who save money every month from her salary can use it, when he become umemployed without depending on their parents. Therefore, svaing at an early age can help people become financially independent.

On the other hand, by having the sense of saving young people can achieve their future aim. Many of them want to continue their education, buy a house or start a new business. However, these activites can require a considerable amount of time and money. By saving regularly, they can gradually colloect the fund they need instead of depending on families or taking loan. They avoid unnecessar spending and make better financial decision through their live. Therefore, young individuals should spend some time on vactions before completing their responsibilities.

In conclusion, i strongly agree with that young individuals need to save money becuase it proivde financial security and help them to achieve their perosnal goals, even small saving can make significant changes.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction (“I firmly agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address two relevant reasons: savings can provide protection during unemployment or emergencies, and they can help young people fund education, housing, or a business. The example of saving from a salary also supports the first point. This covers the task well, and the response shows some development beyond simply stating an opinion. However, the second body paragraph becomes unclear at the end: the suggestion that young people should “spend some time on vactions” does not support the argument for saving. Explain more fully how regular saving helps achieve one of the listed goals, and ensure every supporting point reinforces your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. The progression from emergency protection to longer-term goals is logical, and phrases such as “For example” and “Therefore” help signal relationships between ideas. However, cohesion is weakened by mechanical or inaccurate linking: “On the hand” is incomplete, while “On the other hand” suggests a contrast that is not actually being made. The final sentence of the second body paragraph also disrupts the progression because vacations are not connected to the saving argument. Use transitions that accurately express the relationship between points, and make each paragraph develop one clear line of reasoning.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “financial protection,” “unexpected circumstances,” “financially independent,” and “considerable amount.” These choices show an attempt to express ideas beyond basic everyday language. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word forms are noticeable, including “fincancial,” “unecpected,” “colloect,” and “perosnal,” and some phrases are not natural in context, such as “the sense of saving” and “achieve their future aim.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause, even though the main meaning is generally recoverable. Build accuracy by checking spelling carefully and learning common collocations, for example “develop a habit of saving” and “achieve long-term goals.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If they have some money, they can manage these situations” and a purpose clause beginning “so they can.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the central ideas are usually understandable. However, there are some errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “a young person who save” should use a verb agreeing with “person,” and “when he become umemployed” needs a correctly formed verb. Pronoun reference also shifts between “a young person,” “her,” and “he.” Review subject–verb agreement and keep pronouns consistent; these corrections would make your varied sentences clearer and more controlled.
