Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is broadly clear: you support saving money, and the response discusses benefits for both young people and people later in life. The examples of investing in property or gold and using savings when someone is unable to work are relevant to the topic. However, the task asks how far you agree, and this extent is not stated precisely; the introduction says saving is significant but does not clearly frame your degree of agreement. Some points also need fuller explanation. For instance, the claim that young people should save for their children is asserted without explaining why this is a responsibility for everyone, and the conclusion’s call for balance is not developed. State your position directly and extend each main reason with a clear explanation or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted by “On one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. The ideas generally move from the value of saving to examples of how savings can be used. However, the relationship between some points is not always clear: the first body paragraph shifts from property and gold investments to an example about illness without a smooth link, while the second paragraph introduces saving for children and then moves to independence from parents. Some linking phrases feel mechanical, and references such as “this strategy” and “this” do not always identify the idea clearly. Use topic sentences to establish each paragraph’s main point, then connect examples explicitly to that point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “integral part,” “profit,” “education,” and “facilities,” and you attempt less common expressions such as “contemporary society.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts of the message difficult to interpret. For example, “saving money increase sparking a considerable debate” does not express the intended idea naturally, and “up comping time” is unclear. There are also spelling errors such as “Nowdays,” “neccessary,” and “startegy.” Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling carefully. Reusing accurate vocabulary such as “financial security,” “future expenses,” and “build savings” would make your argument clearer and more appropriate to the topic.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional example beginning “When he aged” and a relative clause in “which help them to give good education.” This shows an effort to vary structure, but errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction remain frequent enough to affect clarity. Examples include “It become significant part,” “mostly people saves,” and “young people needs”; these require more accurate tense, article use, and subject–verb agreement. The sentence beginning “When he aged” is also incomplete as written, and “which help them” has an unclear reference and agreement problem. Practise building complete sentences and checking each subject against its verb, while retaining your attempts at longer structures.
