Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you strongly agree that people, including young people, should save for the future. You give relevant reasons, including preparing for medical costs or unemployment and working towards goals such as buying a home or car. The Pakistan example about parents saving for education also supports your argument. However, some points are asserted rather than explained: for example, the discussion of weddings and long-term desires could show more clearly why saving is especially important for young people. The response addresses the task, but its ideas are not developed equally. To strengthen it, explain each main reason with a specific consequence or example and connect it directly to your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has an overall structure: an introduction states your view, body paragraphs present reasons, and a final paragraph restates your conclusion. Sequencing words such as “initially,” “Another strong advantage,” and “ultimately” help signal movement between points. However, progression within the body is sometimes unclear. The first body paragraph combines emergencies, education, unemployment, housing, and weddings, while the next repeats the idea of achieving long-term desires. Some linking phrases, including “Moreover,” and “as up and downs situation is a part of life,” do not create a clear relationship between the ideas that follow. Group related examples into distinct paragraphs and use referencing and transitions that show whether you are adding a reason, giving an example, or drawing a conclusion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “medical bills,” “educational fees,” “unemployment,” “expenditure,” and “long-term desires.” These choices make your main points understandable. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make the writing less natural, such as “secure their income,” “cut costs in future,” “unfair conditions,” and “reliable for wedding.” There are also repeated references to “situations,” “life,” and “saving money,” which restrict variety. Aim to use more precise topic language and check spelling carefully. For example, “save for future expenses” is more natural than “secure their income,” and “adverse circumstances” is more suitable than “unfair conditions.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause in “as up and downs situation is a part of life” and a purpose phrase in “to pay their children's educational fees.” However, control of sentence structure and basic grammar is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “we all knows,” “money play,” “i wants to describes,” and “saving money can facilitates,” where subject–verb agreement or verb forms are incorrect. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “in every aspects of life” and the comma splice in “people can deal unexpected situatons like paying medical bills, educational purposes.” Practise building accurate sentences first, then add complex clauses and check agreement, verb forms, articles, and punctuation.
