Student answer (Band 6.5)
Their is a common belief for everyone, especially young people to save money in the future. I share this view, as saving money has two financial benefits.
In the short term, saving money helps young people cultivate a positive mindset towards financial management. By paying attention to money and saving, individuals understand the importance and recognize the effort it takes to earn that money. For instance, undergraduate students spend their half of the parents earned money on a single luxury item instead of saving it, once they enter the workforce, they may continue to spend lavishly. Consequenty, this becomes more challenging for them to save for necessary expense like rent. Therefore, young people should prioritze saving money as early as possible to ensure independence and stability.
In the long term, having sufficient money is essential for a decent life in old age. As people age, it becomes increasingly difficult to live without professional caregivers. However, hiring such professionals is difficult becuase they are unaffordable for most, as their salaries generally exceed the pension amounts. For example, the cost of professional caregiver in India is aroung 25,000 rupees per month, which is significantly higher than the average pension being 15000 rupees per month. Therefore it is important for young people to save at a very young age to secure a good well-being in the later life.
In conclusion, saving money during youth is advantageous as it addresses financial challenges both in the short term and long term. It is advisable that this awareness be widely promoted and practiced throughout society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you agree that saving is important, and the response stays focused on the benefits for young people. The two main reasons—developing financial habits and preparing for later-life care—are relevant, and the caregiver-cost example gives the second point useful support. This meets the task well, but the development is uneven. The first example about students spending their parents’ money is difficult to follow and does not fully explain how saving early leads to independence. The discussion also focuses on financial security without considering any qualification or limitation to your agreement. To strengthen the response, explain the first example more clearly and extend each reason with a specific consequence or illustration.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs organised around short- and long-term benefits, and a conclusion that restates your position. Transitions such as “In the short term,” “In the long term,” and “Therefore” help readers follow the argument. This gives the response a coherent progression. However, some links are mechanical, and the reasoning within the first body paragraph is not always easy to track, particularly the sentence beginning “For instance, undergraduate students…” The connection between that example and the claim about financial independence needs to be made explicit. Use referencing and transitions more flexibly, and organise each body paragraph so its main point, explanation, and example connect smoothly.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “financial management,” “lavishly,” “professional caregivers,” and “pension amounts,” which helps communicate the main ideas. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “secure a good well-being.” However, several spelling errors—“Consequenty,” “prioritze,” “becuase,” and “aroung”—and imprecise or unnatural combinations reduce accuracy. Phrases such as “their half of the parents earned money” and “a good well-being” are unclear or awkward, even though the general meaning can be inferred. Aim for more natural collocations and check spelling carefully; precise wording will make your examples and claims more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “if … they may continue to spend lavishly” and a subordinate clause beginning “As people age.” Most of the argument remains understandable, and the conclusion is grammatically straightforward. Some errors nevertheless appear in sentence construction and grammatical forms. For example, “Their is a common belief for everyone … to save” has an incorrect opening structure, while “the average pension being 15000 rupees per month” is an incomplete construction in context. The sentence about undergraduate students also has a confusing relationship between its clauses. Practise building complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, and review articles, possessives, and clause connections to improve control.
