Student answer (Band 6.5)

Many people believe that Saving fund is essential not only for adults but also for younger people. I largely agree with this statement because saving helps people to deal with emergencies and to have a stress free retired life.

Saving provides support to people at the time of emergency situations. This is to say that people often have to face urgencies where they need financial support and saving helps people to deal with the emergency expanses . For example, Individuals can use their saving to pay the medical bills and sudden celebrations. In addition, saving plays crucial role to form strong relation with families. For example, people can arrange expensive holiday trips with their families which not only helps them to unwind but also strengthen their bonds.

Another benefit of saving is that it allows people to enjoy their retirement life without any stress. Elderly people particularly those who does not have support form their children can live their life without any financial stress because they can use their saving to fulfil their basic needs such as food, clothing and shelters. Moreover, saving allows people to live peaceful life and even provides the sense of independence because they do not have to depend on others people at the time of difficulties. Therefore, It is essential for people to save funds to have stress free overall life.

In conclusion, I completely agree that saving money for their future is crucial for everyone, including younger people because it allows people to deal at the time of emergencies and even provides the peaceful life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear throughout: you largely agree that saving matters for everyone, including young people, and the conclusion restates this view. You give relevant reasons, especially preparing for emergencies and having financial security in retirement, with examples such as medical bills and basic living needs. This covers the task, but the support is uneven: the point about holiday trips and family relationships is less directly connected to the importance of saving for the future, and the response does not explain specifically why young people should begin saving early. To strengthen the argument, develop that age-specific point and explain the consequences or benefits of each example more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs organised around separate benefits, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “In addition,” “Moreover,” and “Therefore” help signal the progression of ideas. The organisation is generally easy to follow, but some connections feel mechanical or are not fully logical: the move from emergency savings to family holidays shifts the focus, while “In addition” does not explain how that example supports the main point. References such as “saving” and “people” are also repeated, and the final sentence largely repeats the introduction. Use more precise links between claims and examples, and make the conclusion synthesise the argument rather than restating it.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “financial support,” “medical bills,” “retirement,” and “sense of independence.” These choices make the main ideas clear, and you attempt some less common expressions. However, several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems reduce precision: “saving fund” is not a natural phrase here, “emergency expanses” appears to mean emergency expenses, and “stress free retired life” is awkward. Repetition of “saving” and “people” also limits flexibility. Aim to learn common collocations as complete phrases and check spelling and word forms; this would make your vocabulary more natural while preserving the clear meaning of your argument.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including subordinate clauses with “because” and “which,” and most sentences communicate their main meaning. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with agreement, articles, and possessives. For example, “those who does not have support” should be “those who do not have support,” and “plays crucial role” needs an article: “plays a crucial role.” In “depend on others people,” the possessive form should be “other people.” Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “Saving” after the opening word and “Therefore, It.” Review these patterns and proofread sentence endings; more consistent accuracy would improve control without requiring more complicated structures.
