Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, a lot of people believe that it should be crucial for everybody to start saving for their futures, including the younger individuals. Personally, I agree with such a view, and have discussed for its importance in my essay.
Firstly, saving activities help us to be more financially mature. For instance, if children starts to save money, so they can have good collection of funds under their controll after some years; hence, that can allow children to fulfill their wants such as- buying video games or purchasing bicycle by their own. Which eventually, can allow even minors to be financially independent to a larger extent from little ages, and continuation of such habits can help them to better manage their personal finances too in future.
Another, benefit of savings by all aged people is that, it serves as financial backbone in harder times for families. For example, it is quite noticeable that anyone individual in some family has certain serious health problem such as- Cancer, which generally require continued therapies and treatment under the survelliance of doctors; therefore, families of such an individual have to bear heavy hospital expenditures, so in such cases if people have lifelong savings with them, so they can easily cover those expenses by their own, rather falling into debt traps.
Admittingly, it should also be accepted that, people can do spendings on their deriable or leasure activities at sometimes, rather than just saving for future. This is due to the fact, that fulfilling our wishes motivates us as humans, to work more harder, and become more financially stronger for life ahead.
To conclude, People of all ages must save money for their secure future. This can help families to tackle financial burdens at harder periods in future, as well as creates sense of financial independence among the younger people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address the prompt with two relevant reasons: saving can build young people’s financial independence, and savings can help families meet major medical costs without falling into debt. The examples of buying a bicycle or covering cancer treatment make these points concrete, and you also acknowledge that spending on leisure can motivate people. This covers the task and gives your ideas meaningful support. To strengthen the response further, develop the concession more fully and explain how people can balance present enjoyment with saving. Some claims, such as savings making children financially independent, would also benefit from more precise qualification.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two supporting paragraphs, a concession, and a conclusion. The progression from personal financial habits to family emergencies is logical, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “For example,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the argument. This is a coherent arrangement, with some effective progression toward your final position. However, cohesion is not always smooth: “Another, benefit” and the repeated “so” in the examples make connections feel mechanical, while “Which eventually” begins a fragment rather than linking cleanly to the previous sentence. Improve the flow by combining closely related ideas, varying linking methods, and using clear references instead of repeatedly restating “children” and “people.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “financially mature,” “financial backbone,” “hospital expenditures,” “debt traps,” and “financial independence.” These choices show an attempt to discuss saving and financial security with more than basic language. However, a number of inaccurate or unnatural expressions limit precision and sometimes make the reader pause: “discussed for its importance,” “good collection of funds,” “deriable,” and “leisure activities at sometimes.” Spelling errors such as “controll” and “survelliance” also weaken control. Aim for natural collocations and accurate word forms, and check spelling carefully. For example, describe savings as a “financial safety net” and say that people can “spend on leisure activities occasionally.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of sentence forms, including conditional clauses (“if children starts to save money”) and longer cause-and-effect sentences about medical expenses. This shows an effort to express relationships between ideas, but complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. Examples include subject–verb agreement in “children starts,” the unnecessary “so” after “if,” and the fragment “Which eventually, can allow…”. There are also problems with sentence boundaries and punctuation, such as the comma after “Another” and the run-on structure in the medical example. Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then add subordinate clauses while checking agreement, articles, and punctuation.
