Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is argued that savings are crucial for every age group, including youth. I strongly agree with this statement becuase it ensures enough resources for difficult situations and it improves teenagers' skills to spend carefully. This essay will examine the reasons of my agreement while explaining the benefits.
One of the major reasons for my support is sustained finances. This can be explained by that money saving plays a vital role in uncertain circumstances. Furthermore, life is not a bed of roses, everybody should be prepared for unexpected situations, such as health crises. For instance, if someone gets into an accident, he should have enough finances to take care of himself. As a result, money management is essential for every individual.
Another factor is building life skill in youngsters. It is because young people are mostly careless and do not want to save money. Moreover, youth gets inspiration from social media and try to buy everything they watch on social media platforms, even when they do not need it. To illustrate this, if a young individual already own a good condition iphone fifteen, he wants to buy an updated version after watching an advert on instagram. Consequently, it is crucial for young generation to be aware of the savings' benefits and should be capable of budget management.
To conclude, i strongly believe that money saving is a basic life skill and everybody should have awareness of this. From my perspective, spending money with care allows people to fight against any uncertainty. It is also necessary for young people to know the importance of saving for future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
Your position is clear from the introduction—“I strongly agree”—and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address the general importance of saving and explain two relevant reasons: financial protection in emergencies and helping young people develop careful spending habits. The accident example supports the first point, while the iPhone example illustrates social-media-driven spending. These explanations and examples give the response a clear, relevant argument. To strengthen the development further, explain more specifically how regular saving prepares young people for future goals, rather than relying on broad claims such as “young people are mostly careless.” The opening also promises to “examine the reasons” but could state the two main points more precisely. Overall, the task is addressed with a clear position and supported ideas, though some claims are generalised.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion that restates your view. The progression from emergency savings to young people’s spending habits is logical, and signposts such as “Furthermore,” “For instance,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the argument. Some linking is a little mechanical, however, with “Moreover,” “To illustrate this,” and “Consequently” repeatedly announcing the next step rather than showing the relationship between ideas naturally. The reference in “This can be explained by that” is also awkward and interrupts the flow. Aim to connect explanations more directly—for example, explain how the accident example demonstrates the value of an emergency fund—and vary transitions while keeping the paragraph structure.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “uncertain circumstances,” “health crises,” “money management,” and “budget management.” These choices make the main ideas clear, and the examples are easy to understand. There are also attempts at less common or figurative language, such as “life is not a bed of roses,” though this expression is somewhat familiar and does not add much precision here. Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural: “sustained finances,” “building life skill,” and “the savings’ benefits” do not express the intended ideas idiomatically. There are spelling and capitalisation slips in “becuase,” “iphone,” and “instagram.” Use more precise topic vocabulary and check spelling and natural word combinations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “if someone gets into an accident” and “if a young individual already own…”. The overall meaning remains clear, and the paragraphs contain several straightforward sentences that communicate your points effectively. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with subject–verb agreement and sentence construction. For example, “youth gets inspiration … and try” shifts from a singular subject to a plural verb, while “a young individual already own” should use a singular verb. “This can be explained by that” is not a well-formed grammatical pattern, and “should be capable of budget management” lacks a clear subject. Review agreement and clause structure, and proofread punctuation and capitalisation to improve accuracy.
