Student answer (Band 6.0)

In the modern era, money plays pivatol role in every human being's lives. With this, it has been observed that money saving becomes crucial for all the individuals especially for youngsters. I strongly admire that all the individuals should save money for fulfilling fundamental needs for future. With due consideration, specific views would be discussed before a reasoned conclusion is drawn.

One of the reasons, money saving is a feasible idea, because such attempts benefits individuals in an unexpected situation such as robbery of the money, sudden health issues, or repairing of an item. For instance, my father often save 5% of money from salary every month and deposit that in another bank account which can later benefit to us in an unexpected situation. Consequently, every adult including youths should instil such habit in them which can be advantageous for future life.

Another aspect, saving money can be beneficial for specially young individuals because that can make individuals independent and active towards life. To demonstrate, my 20 year old brother often manage his money on his own and make sure that he spend in a right manner. Consequently, government should conduct an awareness campaign which can impart knowledge to individuals who are unaware especially to economic backward people. Therefore, every adult must also teach one's child about money saving as this provision can lead youths a better and contentful life.

In conclusion, I strongly admire that saving money can teach youths to lead a life in a right manner. Thus, governments and adults must take appropriate actions to compel such approach.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear: you strongly support saving, and both body paragraphs give relevant reasons—preparing for unexpected costs and helping young people manage money independently. The examples about your father’s monthly saving and your brother’s budgeting make the discussion more specific. This meets the task well overall, but the development is uneven: the first example illustrates emergency savings, while the second mainly describes managing money rather than showing how saving itself creates independence. The suggestion that governments run awareness campaigns is also introduced briefly and not explained. To strengthen the response further, develop each reason with a clearer explanation of its effects and connect every example directly to the value of saving for the future.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas generally progress from financial security to independence. Linking expressions such as “For instance,” “Consequently” and “In conclusion” help signal relationships between points. However, some transitions feel mechanical or do not express the relationship precisely: “Consequently” is used where the next sentence is more of a recommendation, and “Another aspect” is an awkward way to introduce the second reason. The final paragraph repeats the main position without adding much synthesis. Use a wider range of natural links, make cause-and-effect connections explicit, and ensure each paragraph develops one central point before moving to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “fundamental needs,” “unexpected situation,” “independent” and “awareness campaign,” which helps communicate the main ideas. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “With due consideration” and “a reasoned conclusion.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “I strongly admire” for expressing an opinion, “money saving,” “economic backward people” and “contentful life.” The spelling error “pivatol” and repeated use of “individuals” also limit precision and naturalness. Aim for accurate, conventional phrases such as “I strongly believe,” “saving money” and “people from disadvantaged backgrounds,” and vary repeated vocabulary where possible.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “which can later benefit to us” and a conditional-style example introduced by “such as.” The overall meaning is usually understandable, but errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “such attempts benefits” should have a plural verb, while “my father often save” and “my 20 year old brother often manage” need third-person singular forms. In “make sure that he spend,” the verb form is also incorrect. Some sentences, such as the opening of the first body paragraph, are awkwardly constructed. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and building clear clauses; greater accuracy in these patterns would make your varied sentences easier to follow.
