Student answer (Band 6.0)

Nowadays, many people believe that saving money for future is more importantt han spending it on present needs. It's important for young people as well as children and adults, to save money for their future. I completely agree that save money for their future is very important for young people because young people need to save money for their education and to fullfill their wishes through that saved money.

Firstly of all, saving money helps people deal with unexpected situations. Life is unpredictable, people may face difficulties such as unemployement, medical expenses any time or anyother emergencies. If that time, people have sufficient saving, they can manages that situation without taking money from others. E.g., a person have loses their job then they should have enough money to cover their daily expenses while the new employement. Therefore, saving money can reduce stress and provide peace full mind.

Secondly, saving money for young man to achieve their future goals through that saved money. E.g., many young man want to buy their own house and also want to start business and pursue our higher education in foreign country. So, to complete that dream young man need to save money for future to achieve their goals.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that saving money is essential because it save people from financial emergencies and allows them to achieve their long term future goals through tha saved money. Moreover, spending money on present needs in neccessary, I think we should need to maintaining a balance between spending money and saving is the best approach in the world.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear: you completely agree that saving is important, and you give relevant reasons about emergencies and future goals. The first body paragraph explains how savings can help during unemployment or medical costs, while the second mentions buying a home, starting a business and pursuing education. This addresses the question, but the support is uneven: the emergency example is more concrete, whereas the goals paragraph mostly lists ambitions without explaining how saving enables them or why this matters particularly to young people. The introduction also briefly contrasts saving with present spending, but the essay does not fully explore that balance until the conclusion. Develop one example in each paragraph and connect it more explicitly to your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two reason-based body paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing is generally clear, and signposts such as “Firstly” and “Secondly” help readers follow the argument. The conclusion returns to the main position and adds the idea of balancing saving with present needs. However, some links are mechanical or unclear: “through that saved money” is repeated, and “If that time” does not clearly refer back to the emergencies mentioned. The second body paragraph also moves quickly from a general claim to a list of goals, with little development between them. Use clearer referencing and vary transitions, then explain how each example supports the paragraph’s main point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “unexpected situations,” “medical expenses,” “financial emergencies” and “long term future goals.” These phrases show some awareness of appropriate language for the topic. However, the range is limited by repeated wording such as “save money,” “future” and “young man,” and several inaccurate or misspelled expressions make the writing less natural, including “peace full mind,” “fullfill” and “neccessary.” Some choices also do not fit the intended meaning, such as “young man” when referring to young people generally. Build a wider set of collocations for saving and financial planning, and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure: “If that time, people have sufficient saving, they can manages that situation.” This shows an effort to explain consequences, but errors in sentence formation and verb forms often make the phrasing difficult to follow. Examples include “I completely agree that save money … is very important,” “a person have loses their job,” and “we should need to maintaining a balance.” There are also problems with articles, agreement and plural forms, as in “a person have” and “sufficient saving.” Practise building accurate clauses around a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and verb patterns when combining ideas. Greater control of these basics would make your argument easier to read.
