Student answer (Band 6.0)
Investing some amount for your future safety is increasing day-by-day. It is crucial for people to understand the need to store some capital for their future lives. I firmly believe that this development has postive impact on the person's future. This essay will summarise main reasons to consider in future investments as a significant step in people's life.
One of the main reasons is that, saved money can help people to tackle their difficult and emergency situations. Since this helps them to manage financial problems independently, they do not get ashamed to ask for hand loans. As we are unaware of future events, this money can manage negative situations till some extent. For instance, if people create saving accounts in bank and deposit money on monthly bases. After some duration large amount of money is deposited which can be utilised for hospital bills in our future.
Similarly, young people can manage expensive higher studies on their own with the help of money they saved during their teenage. Parents should encourage them to invest in some policies. To clarify this, policies such as mutual funds allow young people to invest money in various policies such as health care or education. Moreover, they gives high return rates whenever we withdraw from our policies. This will help us to invest in our future before we reach
Conversly, some people argues that saving money is not beneficial as they have many other crucial tasks such as travelling across the world and become expensive buyer.I strongly disagre with them as we can invest our money and prove it as an advantage in our future.
In conclusion, the need to invest money for upcoming years should be considered substantially by every member including teenagers. As it has two key reasons, economical help in emergency conditions and investment for future aspects. I strongly admire that people should save money for their future in order to strike balance between their ups and downs in their lifes.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you firmly support saving, and you give relevant reasons involving emergencies and education. The examples of using savings for hospital bills and funding higher studies help address the task, while the brief opposing view shows awareness of another perspective. This meets the task well overall. However, the education point is less fully explained, and the discussion of mutual funds and policies is unclear: it is not evident how these products specifically help young people meet study costs. The second body paragraph also ends mid-sentence (“before we reach”), leaving an idea unfinished. To strengthen the response further, develop each reason with a complete explanation and a precise example, and make the extent of your agreement explicit throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two supporting paragraphs, a counterargument and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “One of the main reasons,” “Similarly,” and “Conversely” help signal the direction of the discussion. Overall, the reader can follow your main argument. Cohesion is less successful within some paragraphs, however: the shift from teenage savings to parents encouraging policies and then to mutual funds is abrupt, and the second supporting paragraph stops before its final point is completed. Some linking is also mechanical, with repeated “This will help” and “Moreover.” Improve progression by keeping each paragraph focused on one reason, connecting examples directly to the claim, and ensuring every sentence and paragraph reaches a clear conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of topic-related vocabulary, including “emergency situations,” “financial problems,” “higher studies,” and “mutual funds,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “significant step” and “upcoming years.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “store some capital,” “hand loans,” “expensive buyer,” and “strike balance between their ups and downs.” Spelling errors such as “postive,” “Conversly,” and “disagre” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural combinations used in financial contexts, and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would make your explanations clearer and help you express the argument with greater flexibility.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a conditional example beginning “if people create saving accounts” and a reason clause introduced by “Since.” This shows some range, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with agreement, articles, plurals and sentence completion. For example, “they gives high return rates” should use a plural-compatible verb, while “a large amount” needs an article in the savings example. The sentence beginning “For instance, if people create…” is a fragment because it does not complete the conditional structure, and “before we reach” is left unfinished. Review subject–verb agreement and make sure dependent clauses are attached to complete sentences. Punctuation around sentence boundaries also needs attention.
