Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is often argued that, saving money for the upcoming life is quite crucial for every individual regardless of age factor. I completely agree with this opinion, as it provides the person with financial security, minumum mental stress and better future planning.

It is important for both young and older people to accumulate funds as it provides various benefits to both age of groups. Firstly, we will discuss the favourable outcomes for senior citizens. If a pupil has savings for the the future he will not be worried about the finances as, he will be weak enough to earn like he used to do in young life. For example, a person will be stress free regarding his future plannings epecially his wife's expenses. Furthermore, another positive aspect is that in any emergency situtation like any sudden illness or life treatening conditions, they will have a reasonable economical state to support their treatment.

Secondly, for youth it is equally fundamental too. If they have a habit of saving they will be able to spend money on their higher education with the money they kept aside for further life. Therefore, this will not only help him in completing studies but also ease their parents mental pressure. In addition, most youngsters are subected to accidents, by having sufficient financial resources will aid them to bear their medicals charges. Not only that, they will able to do family planning as soon as possbile and be settled in life.

To sum up, building financial security from avery young age leads to some fruitful outcomes for years ahead. It aids in developing ecomical security, readiness for any unknown upcoming event. So, a human being should be involved in saving up.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: “I completely agree,” and the conclusion reinforces the view that people should save from a young age. You address both young people and older adults, with relevant reasons such as funding education, easing parents’ financial pressure, and meeting medical costs. This gives the response a solid, relevant foundation. However, the discussion of older people is less clearly connected to the prompt’s emphasis on saving for the future: “a pupil” is used where you appear to mean an older person, and the point about a wife’s expenses is not explained. The youth examples are also listed more than developed. Explain how saving enables these goals and add a specific example to make the support more convincing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs on older people and young people, and a concluding summary. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “To sum up” help readers follow the main stages of the argument. This coherent arrangement is a strength. Some connections, however, feel mechanical or unclear. “Firstly, we will discuss” sounds like an announcement rather than a natural transition, while “Not only that” introduces another point without showing how it relates to the previous one. References such as “they” and “this” are occasionally ambiguous, particularly in the paragraph about older people. Use transitions that express the relationship between ideas and make each pronoun’s reference unmistakable to improve the flow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “financial security,” “higher education,” “emergency,” and “financial resources,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at less common phrasing, such as “fruitful outcomes.” However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “upcoming life,” “age of groups,” “future plannings,” and “economical state”; these are not natural expressions in this context. Spelling errors such as “minumum,” “epecially,” and “situtation” further reduce precision. Aim for familiar, accurate collocations rather than forcing formal-sounding phrases, and proofread carefully for spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use both simple statements and attempts at more complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “If they have a habit of saving…” and a “not only…but also” construction. This shows some range, and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, errors in sentence structure, articles, agreement, and punctuation recur. For example, “If a pupil has savings for the the future he will not be worried … as, he will be weak enough” has an unclear clause structure and misplaced punctuation. In “by having sufficient financial resources will aid them,” the opening phrase does not connect grammatically to the subject. Review sentence boundaries, remove unnecessary commas, and check that each clause has a clear subject and verb. More accurate complex sentences would strengthen control.
